This is a decent rug pad. It's not nonslip, but I have it under furniture, so it should be fine. The only thing is that it's a pain to trim to the correct size if you got a slighter smaller rug like me. Maybe I'm just lefthanded? Other reviewers didn't seem to have an issue. Probably just user error - but it was a really frustrating experience.

Soft rug pad, arrived very quickly

The pad arrived well packed, was fairly easy to cut, and is everything I expected of it.

The rug pad was a great value for the quality. Instructions in the web were clear about what size and thickness to order. The pad was so nice I ordered to more to replace existing ones I had that were inferior quality.

I’m a stickler for detail. This rug pad is not even. So it’s really not a 7x9. They need to make sure the dimensions are the dimensions. The cut of the pad is off making it not even.

After much research we purchased this 1/3" felt pad for our 8x10 low pile woven wool rug in the family room, and for under $100 it is excellent value. I was originally looking to purchase the slightly lower profile 1/4" Eco Plush rug which was $50 more. I called the manufacturer to understand the differences between the two products and was told it was the same material, only with the slight thickness difference. With young kids at home – a two year old and a newborn on the way – I wanted something non-toxic with no odour, something that wouldn't off gas much if anything. I had previously purchased a felt pad from a competitor that had latex rubber on the bottom. Despite trying to air it out for days, it had a strong chemical off-gas smell to it that wouldn't go away, so I returned it. The competitors pad was shipped completely folded which gave it a ton of creases and weak plastic packaging that arrived at my doorstep completely open to the elements. This rug shipped smart – completely rolled with only a single fold and thoroughly wrapped in plastic with an excellent seal. Night and day difference. Upon opening the package, there was absolutely no smell which was reassuring. I noticed on the label it was named as "Basics 100% Thick Felt" for those wondering.Although higher than we had planned at 1/3", once laid under the rug we're super happy with it. It offer just the right amount of softness under the feet and the extra thickness will give a bit more protection to the rug and floor over time. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. If you are placing this under a carpet that will be anchored down by furniture and don't need the non-slip rubber underneath, look no further you've found your product.

Expensive but perfect as a Rug Pad. Sticks to the ground and doesn’t let the carpet move. Sometimes it’s tough to move the carpet from top of it, as it shows from the bottom side edges, but it’s a minor irritant

The thickness of this rug pad makes it extra cushy to walk on which is very nice. There are some pieces in the felt that are pretty hard, possibly shredded plastic, and that I feel may scratch hardwood floors over time. Other than that it’s a nice solid rug pad that doesn’t seem like it’s going to break down quickly or flatten and lose its cushioning properties.

This is a great rug pad, we initially looked at buying one of a similar size online for $400 and I’m so glad we didn’t! You have to use this rug pad with a carpet or rug that will be anchored down by furniture as it does not have a non-slip side. It is super comfortable and thick and it had no odour when we unpacked it. I give it two thumbs up and we will be ordering more for the rest of the rugs in the house.

My husband and I have laminate floors and we wanted to add cushion to our 10 x 8 living room rug. We had never purchased an underlay before so we did a lot of research and read all the reviews before making the decision to go with the extra thick 1/3” felt rug pad by RUGPADUSA. We certainly made the right call! It is exactly as advertised and was no trouble to cut to size. It was delivered on time, was well packaged, and there was no odour whatsoever. The pad rolled out easily and all packaging wrinkles smoothed out quickly. We have a coffee table and the corner of our TV stand on our area rug. We put a roll of anti-slip STOPP FILT from IKEA underneath the felt pad directly on the laminate (works like a charm keeping smaller area rugs in place and does not harm the laminate in any way) in the high traffic spots and there is no bunching or buckling when we walk on it or when our dogs stretch out and it didn’t budge during vacuuming. We are extremely pleased and if you’re looking to add cushion, look no further than this product!
