Looked clean and in great health condition. Arrived in a timely manner, well packaged.

They chato was in transit for 2-3 days and thankfully they were cooler days and not in the 100s. When it arrived water was cold, chato a little on the brittle side, but all and all looked health. The variety that came was the thinner more string like variety that tends to be less brittle. The only perk to it being such a little amount of chato, it was easy to see that it was indeed clean and free of pest. If you want a 100% clean chato option with zero effort and don't mind waiting for it to grow out or spending a lot for a decent amount, then this is a great option. Just make sure the weather is ideal for transit. Otherwise check your local fish store and you may get more for your money. However this could bring pests. This is where I would recommend a QT stage with fresh water dipping and tank transfer (or wash out QT bin/tank during dip). This is the method I took for my 200 gallon tank. Chato is very hardy and can handle a pretty long fresh water dip. Just make sure water's dechlorinated and temp is good. I soaked for 3 hours hitting with turkey baster every so often. Then do small water change on tank it's going into. Instead of discarding water use for you chato QT. Add a little circulation and light. Wait a week for any potential eggs to hatch and repeat(this time can be reducedto an hour or 2). If you don't see any pests you should be good. However I'd repeat for one last week. This method obviously is a bit more work but was worth it for my larger sump. The chato I received was already clean, just would have cost me close to $150 for my 200 gallons sump for what I got from my LFS for $5.95 and a little added work/ time. Again, very happy with purchase, was just hoping for a bit more for the cost.

13 grams when package arrived, currently 35 grams after 15 days, has solved all of my nuisance algae problems in my 15 gal tank, works great.

See photos for what I got for $134 (including taxes) on 4. Also not sure what they are using to measure but the quantity is clearly not consistent. I also got 3 2 weeks ago which have mostly died at this point so I don’t have high hopes for this batch. Needless to say this is my last batch and do not recommend.I will say though this is thinner than others I have purchased, it did arrive in seemingly good health and was springy. Since my first batch is dying back though can’t speak to longevity yet. Will update.
