This is one of the three watercolor books by this artist. The instructions are so in-depth and detailed for mixing colors and leaves room for experimentation. This is a must-buy for building artistic confidence and the perfect ‘coloring book’ for relaxation and a little bit extra for those who really want to learn. The watercolor paper with the printed pictures is very high quality and takes water very well.

There are 29 pages of clear and concise instructions with illustrations. Practice pages to try techniques. I have picked up things here I’ve not found elsewhere. Instructions call for minimal investment in supplies. There are exercises in color mixing. The watercolor paper is of excellent quality. I am extremely pleased with this book.

This book is perfect for anyone wanting to learn about watercolor. The best part of the book is learning about a technique and then going to a page in the book and actually practicing it on excellent watercolor paper. I was very impressed by the quality of the book quality of the watercolor paper and the presentation of watercolor techniques in an easy to learn format. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in learning about watercolor.

Great book for learning new techniques if a beginner or if you want to learn something new. I love her color mixing chart in here as well!Easy to understand!

Love everything about this book. I have all of The Mint Gardner's books - Sarah Simon. Love each one of them. I am just starting out in watercolor, having instrution and outlines to paint in one book allows me to learn and do at the same time. Lessens the confusion and struggle with drawing and watercolor paper selection while learning to watercolor paint. Outlines are fun to paint. Brings a sense of accomplishment learning watercolor techniques and practicing the techniques on scrap paper and in the book. I have trouble with water to paint ratios and mixing colors - by this 3rd book, I am getting the hang of it! I can't say enough about Sarah Smon's lovely drawings and easy-to-understand and follow instructions. She put a lot in this watercolor workbook for those who want to learn and master watercolor painting. I am 70 years old, still working full-time, watercolor painting has brought so much joy! I will proabaly never be good at drawing so appreciate the lovely drawings to paint.

The writing and explanations of techniques are excellent and clear. There are great exercises in the book that gradually build skill and confidence. The paper for the exercises is high quality. The book would be better if it would lie flat.

❤️❤️❤️ ALL of Sarah’s watercolor workbooks. But this one just sings to me. Sarah always starts her books with a refresher, or tutorial, on all things watercolor that is great for the beginner or novice watercolor artist. I love that. Then on to the beautiful sketches…these are always clear and well planned and allow for quick painting and color mixing, again instructions given on the proper formula, so that, especially when I just need to paint I can dive right in. Thank you Sarah for another beauty!
