On first plug the Green light is not light, is this a defective unit?

What are the dimensions?

The outside dimensions are 14.76" deep x 9.84" wide and the inside dimensions are 7 1/2" deep and 9" wide. It's a great melting pot!

Can you use gel wax in this?

It has a temperature dial that you can regulate. I usually have it at a lower temp than what it calls for, as it's better to take the extra time.

Based on the images, the spout seems to be pretty high up which would leave a bunch of wax on the bottom. Is this the case?

No wax is left in the bottom because the drain hole is on the bottom (in the center).
