Great for small to medium dogs, with matt prone coats to give that groomer finish look
Though quite expensive for what it is, I do feel its worth the money. We have a toy Cavapoo, which is more on the poodle side, with a very curly coat, which is very matt prone. We were recommended this item by our groomer, as it was what she was using. Every time we brush her it she looks and feels as she has just come from the groomers, so soft and fluffy, it's amazing! So far we haven't noticed any matts, which is great, so very effective. Size wise would say it's only suitable for small to medium dogs, as the brush hair isn't massive, but for small to medium dogs it's great. The quality is also extremely good, with the brush bristles made from soft but firm metal, and the handle/head from real wood, really giving that premium feel. Highly recommend!

Excellent
Excellent brush. You can brush harder or soft. Well made good handle and easy to use.

Easy to handle
I bought this because it is smaller than the one I already had. It is well made, comfortable to hold and easier to get into the curves of my cocker spaniel’s body. It doesn’t seem as sharp as the other one either.

Best brush for cats
One of my two cats doesn’t usually enjoy being groomed, but he purrs when I brush him with this. The handle fits into my hand so comfortably so I enjoy grooming them more. It is also good at reducing the amount of hair they lick into their stomach and that’s always good.

It really does the job well - but it is pricey!
Full disclaimer - if I hadn't had the chance to review this item for free as part of the Vine programme, I would not have risked over thirty pounds for a dog brush. That said, if you are looking for a really good quality brush, it may well be that it's better to invest in one like this than keep wasting your money on cheaper alternatives that are actually a false economy! This is not a huge brush, but it fits well in the hand and is very comfortable to use - so I guess ergonomically designed in terms of the handle etc...The actual bristles (pins, apparently?) are really clever, with a gentle bend at the end that gives you a bit of a hook/drag effect without feeling like you're ever going to catch in the dog's coat. They're planted in a cushion that means there is a bit of give in use - it won't feel harsh. My boy has very thick loose fur around his shoulders, throat and hips and his normal brushes never seemed able to get right into that fur - but this one does, easily, and comes out covered in hair - even if I brush him with his old brush, then use this one straight after, this one always brings out hairs that the other ones miss.First time of using, Barney wasn't too sure about this brush (see his expression in the photo!) but he soon relaxed into it and will now stay still nicely while I brush him more thoroughly than I've ever been able to before. I think he gets a massage-type sensation from the experience! In summary, this is not a cheap brush - not by a long way! But it is a very good brush, and if it lasts, would be a solid investment.

Professional Grooming, but Price Reflects Quality
The Chris Christensen Dog Brush, Mark II Small Slicker Brush, promises a professional grooming experience, and it does deliver in certain aspects. The stainless steel pins with ground and polished tips are gentle on my dog's coat, effectively tackling tangles and mats. The lightweight beech wood body adds a touch of elegance to the design. However, the high price of the brush may not entirely align with the overall quality. While it performs well, the construction feels less sturdy than expected, and the durability of the beech wood body may be a concern over time. The effectiveness of the slicker brush is commendable, but potential buyers should carefully weigh the price against their specific grooming needs. In terms of value for money, the Chris Christensen Dog Brush falls into a higher price bracket, and its cost might not be justified for all pet owners. Despite the quality grooming experience it provides, the overall build raises some reservations about its long-term durability. In summary, the brush caters to professional grooming standards but might be considered a splurge rather than a necessity for some pet owners.
