DRAGON BALL FighterZ CollectorZ Edition (PS4)

So my son bought this with money he had saved. I thought it was alot of money considering it does not include dlc which he will have to save up for. He loves the game and the extras. The art cards look nice and he wants to frame for his wall. The box is nice for storage. Not sure what the point in a steelbook is when the game has its own box. The model itself looks great but its not as good quality as the £30 models he collects. This model works out expensive. Its not perfect as my sons model has a couple of gaps on the back where the plastic wasnt glued properly. Overall it is expensive and should include dlc

I would like to start this review by saying I pay this game on a PS4 pro.The Collector edition of this game is one of my favourite. The statue included in the box has an amazing 'anime' painting to it. And the steelbook box is one of the most colorfull and detailed one I own.But let's talk about the game itself.It is great. The graphics are unbelievable, to a by-stander, it almost looks like the anime is playing more than someone playing a game. It is truly beautiful and just for that reason it is worth getting the game if you are a fan of the series.Now, it is a fighting game, and sadly I am not great at fighting games. I did spend some time in the training mode to get better. And let me tell you, it is one of the best training mode for a fighting game that I ever experienced. If you want to get better at fighting games in general, it might be worth getting this game to try out the training mode.While a neophyte can grab a controller and have some fairly visually amazing fights (which is very satisfying). It is the kind of games which would require a lot of training to get good at. Personally I do not have this kind of time anymore, and it translates by getting ruthlessly beat in online matches.The story is definitely not Shakespeare but it is overall enjoyable and give you a reason to move from one fight to another. I like it when a fighting game includes a story mode.Overall, if you are a of the anime, you should definitely pick this game up.if you like fighting games, I feel like this game has enough depth to give you a run for your money but it will take you time to practice.While I do not play this game any longer, I would still recommend it to most people as I absolutely do not regret my purchase.

Traditional fighters (2D) in the DragonBall genre hold a special place in my heart. This is why I bought the CollectorZ edition - in order to provide additional support for the genre and developers. Also I collect figures and the huge Goku figure you get in this edition is amazing. However, this product is definitely not worth the price tag; There is (next to) no exclusive in-game content with this purchase, no FighterZ pass (to get all future DLC), and the content of the package is scarce. 3 pictures and a metal box are totally not worth it. An additional book, ingame soundtrack and FighterZ pass would've been great.Regardless of being overpriced, the product is as advertised and I knew what I got myself into. The figure is amazingly detailed and looks straight out of the anime! The metal case is pretty neat, and the three pictures will look nice on my wall. The game is the best DBZ game in..ever. I recommend this if you want to support the brand and future of high quality DragonBall games!

I have to say if you are a die hard Dragon Ball fan like me, this will be an easier choice to make. The packaging is a nice touch to boot. The Goku statue that is included has a very nice design, great for collectors.Despite all this I can’t recommend this version of the game to everyone. For people more interested in just the gameplay would be better off with the other choices on offer.The price is a little too high considering what is included. No FighterZ pass or any additional content make this harder to recommend.Would be 5 starts otherwise, but still worth your time if an avid follower of Dragon Ball.
