The instructions that come with this are inadequate which basically makes the item easy to ruin and dangerous to boot.Furthermore, the autoclave itself is welded instead of seamless, frankly I'm not to thrilled about that, just waiting for it to rip open.That being said, this needs a thermostat to control it, manually plugging it and unplugging it constantly over a half hour sterilization run might seem a great job for some cadre member in Communist China but I would imagine to the average so called "Westerner" it will be a mind numbing excursion into boredom and perhaps even a dangerous trance.I wish I would have skipped this and just bought a "Western" used model off of the auction site.

I use it to make meat preserves. Works great, if you know how to use it. So, the cons are not detailed instruction, hard to understand, if you are not experienced. Also, hard to tight nuts because of cheap performance. The working surface of nuts should be perpendicular to the axle of the bolt. I needed to use my metal lathe to fix it. Now it is easy to tight. Also, the steel the bolts and nuts are made of , is too soft. I am expecting replacing bolts and nuts soon on custom made. Good idea, helpful on kitchen, but needs to be upgraded to make users happy!

Little to no instructions included. Got the job done but a little sketchy to use. The noises it does make are questionable, loud and not reassuring.. You definitely have to sit next to it to make sure it doesn't explode and make a mess. We ended up returning the product we are a medical office and patients were concerned with the noise. The autoclave is fairly small as well. The seller did contact me via email, asking how to improve the item.

SHOP JUST OPENED AND WENT TO USE THIS AND IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL

We bought this autoclave because we like the gauges. But it turns out that the quality of this autoclave sucks!!! After three use, the lid started leaking . Not only that, there tech support basically did not exist. We tried to contact them, but got no reply! We completely wasted $200.

Works but within 2 uses the power cord shorter out and we had to rewire it. Then it happened again about 4 uses later. Dangerous to use and disappointing. We had to buy replacement cords just to continue using it.

First of all, like other reviewers said, there is essentially no instructions. I am a biology teacher and I needed a way to sterilize microbio lab supplies and bacterial cultures. When I was able to use it, it made very loud, disconcerting sounds, and thanks to the lack of instructions I'm not sure it was normal. I used this about 3 times before it stopped holding pressure. There is no on or off switch. The minute you plug it in, it starts up. There is no way to regulate the pressure or temperature, and for a novice user like me, I had no idea if it was working. It also doesn't seem very safe. The entire thing gets extremely hot and spews hot water vapor everywhere. Overall, I wish my school had just paid a little more to get one that was decent instead of wasting 200 dollars on this piece of junk.

After a couple of months, the power cord broke and had to have an electrician friend help repair it. it's not a standard design and no replacement parts available. Worked great for a while (agree with other users that it is loud), then the cord burned out. No replacement cord available so once again looking for a unit.
