Q: Why use waterproof socks if they cannot stop water from entering through the top open?

Waterproof Boots can’t stop water from getting in over the top - leaving your feet drenched. When the trails turn soggy or the snow starts piling in, waterproof socks will save the day. With gaiters or waterproof pants, they will be more effective.

Q: Are normal waterproof socks rain socks?

We must say No. You will experience some water ingress from the top if you ride or run for hours in the rain with normal waterproof socks. We recommend you choose our patented DEXLOK socks if you need to cross creeks.

Q: How breathable are your waterproof socks? - 70% breathable!

The highly breathable PORELLE membrane in our waterproof socks features a Water Vapor Permeability (WVP) index of 15,000 g/m2.day ASTM E96:95, which can be translated as 70% sweat moisture permeable. You can wear them all day long in FW season.

Q: Why is it better to choose a size up for waterproof socks?

Due to the waterproof fabric property, please refer to Fitting Reference for each style of our waterproof socks recommended in Comparison Chart below. No matter if you are at the upper edge of a size or if have wide feet, you MUST choose a SIZE UP.

Q: Are waterproof socks easy to care for and clean? - Yes

They are machine washable with a tumble dry low setting. You can use any common detergent available in the supermarket. But please DO NOT DRY ON ANY DIRECT HEAT such as a radiator or fireplace, which will cause de-lamination of the composite fabrics!
