Yum
Best value for the money. I've tried several different brands of cocktail cherries and these are the best in flavor and value. Some brands have a lot of liquid in the jar and a lot less cherries, such as Luxardo. This jar is packed with cherries and the flavor is excellent for our cocktails. Fav cocktail is called Pontoon Life - 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz Amaro Nonino, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 1/2 oz lemon juice. Shake with ice and serve over ice with a cherry!!

An outstanding addition to Manhattans... and then some
I bought this for my husband (who loves to make Manhattan’s) for Father’s Day but decided to give it to him earlier to begin enjoying. He loves it..I use to buy him another gourmet brand of cherries but this will be my permanent “go to” choice. He said that it adds a little something extra and makes his drink even better. I asked for something a little more specific - he just pointed to his empty glass and smiled. The most important thing he said is to tell any prospective buyers out there is to be sure NOT to refrigerate the jar after opening. We keep ours in the liquor cabinet which is dark & cool. The instructions back me up on this.If you want to add a special touch to your drinks than this is something you need to try. I have a feeling this will be wonderful over ice-cream or whipped cream, in case you need another incentive.

Great cherries for a Manhattan!
Traverse City Whiskey Co. Premium Cocktail Cherries are great! My husband made the switch a short time ago and hasn’t looked back.My husband takes cocktail hour very seriously everyday so finding the right cherries to work in his Manhattan took some time. The cherries have a great flavor and complement a Manhattan perfectly, never mushy and the syrup has just the right touch of sweetness. The cherry color and syrup look more like a high-end cocktail cherry.Since my husband is from Michigan, getting him to try the Traverse City cherries wasn’t too hard, but my husband can be picky as to what goes into a Manhattan. The part is that we can order Traverse City Whiskey Co. Premium Cocktail Cherries from Amazon and have them delivered to our doorstep in PA! Thanks Traverse City Whiskey Co!

These vs Luxardo
Luxardo is my go-to brand. Just tried these, perfectly reasonable for what they are, but good to know the differences. These (I’ll call TCC for Traverse City cherries) are made in US, which is nice.If the servings per container are accurate on both, based on cherries only, not syrup, TCC are about half the cost per cherry.Biggest difference for me — TCC syrup includes “whiskey,” Lux syrup includes a cherry based liqueur, and, to me, has more cherry flavor. The Lux jar says it is 50/50 cherries/syrup; I find the syrup to be very useful in drinks. If you are making Manhattans or other dark liquor drinks these are more than fine. I also use the Luxardo, and sometimes just the syrup, in fruitier drinks. I suspect I will still prefer the Lux for that, not wanting to add the whiskey flavors but preferring to keep the purer cherry flavors. These are made from larger Michigan cherries, so are bigger and meatier than other cocktail cherries I’ve used, which is nice, but they are a different type of cherry than Luxardo so don’t expect them to be similar.Overall, after sitting in a drink, the TCC seem to have less flavor at the end; they aren’t quite the final little treat that I consider Lux to be.These need to be refrigerated after opening according to the label, Luxardo do not.I will happily use this jar but may not buy them again because I’ll prefer Lux for some things and don’t really need two separate products when Lux covers all my bases. But if I didn’t have Lux in the house I wouldn’t hesitate to use these in nonwhiskey-based drinks.

Awesome cocktail cherries
Let me start out by saying “wow”!Having spent 20 years in Michigan, I ate a ton of Michigan cherries over the years! For those that don’t know, Michigan is the cherry capital of the world and the Traverse City area is the epicenter!I can’t believe how much these cocktail cherries remind me of the sweet, fleshy cherries that I grew up eating! These cocktail cherries are not only well suited for delicious (bourbon and rye) cocktails, but they also work well on ice cream or with just a spoon!I’ll admit it. I’m a total snob when it comes to cocktail cherries. You’ll never see the bright red maraschino cherries in my house! I’ve tried almost all of the high end ones out there, including Luxardo, Toschi, Faabri, Woodford, etc. These are the best!

Not nearly as good as Luxardo cherries (in my opinion)
I ordered these hoping for an American product that was similar to (or better than) the Luxardo cherries I love in my old fashioneds. While these Michigan cherries cost a bit less per ounce, and Michigan grows some world-class cherries, in my opinion these just don't measure up to Luxardo. The flavor was mildly artificial, I didn't want to eat the whole jar in one sitting like I feel when I get to that Luxardo cherry in the bottom of my drink. I tasted these both before and after marinating in the bottom of my cocktail glass, it was an easy win for Luxardo in both trials. These cherries are bigger than Luxardo's in case that matters to anyone - I don't believe they are maraschino cherries, they appear to be some other variety. I gave 95% of this jar to my brother in law, I hope he will appreciate them more than me.
