Wasn't sure at first as they are quite rigid compared with the regular old toms I'm used to with the softer foam sole.After wearing for some time they have softened nicely to be much more comfy and the extra weight and durability of the sole is welcome for long term use and climbing down rugged beach paths.They grip slightly better and are more comfortable on the sole of the foot so have wider use in general.Although I will hopefully find the older type still available in future for their extra lightweight convenience, I will be happy to buy these if the price is reasonable.
