A little concerned with the lack of cushioning inside the boxes for a laptop. But it arrived okay despite one side of the box being crushed in. Laptop powers on no problems. And the physical condition on the outside is almost immaculate for a refurbished laptop. Hopefully i wont find anything wrong internally when i start pulling this apart. I bought the cheapest one at $120 from the seller as i plan on replacing majority of the components. Definitely a good value. It does come pre installed with windows but will definitely be puting Arch linux on here. Have not tested the battery life which im not too concerned with.It is hard to go off reviews on refurbished laptops. As the conditions of laptop will not be the same. It

Well, to be honest, there is so many benefits to this pc. I came from using a T430, and before that an HP Pavilion G7. I wish I had gotten this computer in the first place. For starters, I love how easy it is to do upgrades on it. The whole cover just slides off from taking out 2 screws (way easier than on the T430). I especially love the scratchpad, despite the hate it gets from most people. Mine came with the HD display, 8gb of ram, and a HDD that I swapped for my SSD. I really like the build quality and the sturdiness of the whole device. Its plastic, but not the cheap chinese craptops you'll find for around $300. You'll never regret purchasing this device.

- Battery life is the worst. When I full it I have just 3 mins I can use before it sits down or I have to keep it charges and use it.- One of nails on bottom is broken so I couldn’t open it to upgrade the laptop.- When I move the laptop I heard there is something moving inside the laptop like a small part brokenReally bad!

The laptop is practically new. I install Ubuntu Linux and it runs flawlessly.I am a very good fan of Thinkpad laptops and this one, the Lenovo Thinkpad T440p,has not let me down. I recommend it a lot.

The Windows 10 product key on the machine was invalid. Thankfully I had no intention of using Windows anyways, and proceeded to install Linux. If you want to purchase this machine and use Windows however, that will be a problem. Artifacts on the LCD. Some minor scratches on the outside, to be expected with refurbished machine. Backlit keyboard is nice. No CD drive. Comes with 8 GB of slow RAM.

This thing is the Toyota Tacoma of laptops.What's not to love? It's near infinitely customizable body is plug and play friendly and also able to take a beating.There's a reason these things have found a tremendous after market community. It's nice when this just work the way they are supposed to..

The hard drive is very loud and constantly running.

The Lenovo Thinkpad T440p has the distinct reputation of being a highly upgradable computer, something that is rare these days. Even though it's 4 or 5 years since it was the latest and greatest, it is easily accessible for upgrading RAM, adding an M.2 SATA SSD, or changing out the hard drive for a SATA SSD. The DVD drive can even be removed and replaced with a caddy for adding another SSD drive or converting the original drive for storage. For those a bit more adventurous, the process can be upgraded as well. This one came with an already upgraded Full HD 1920X1080 IPS screen! Usually, the screen on this model was 720P.The only issue I have with the unit that was delivered to me was a broken USB port that was intermittently shorting out the USB bus causing Windows to report an overload. I rmedied this by carfully lifting the pins from where they were making contact with the outer metal shielding on the port. Unfortunately, the port is unusuable, but there are three more - somethign I can live with since this was a refurbished model. I notified the seller, but I have not been able to make contact with the seller (after three days) by either email or phone. To repair the unit would require a new motherboard. But it works now and I' m okay with keeping it. I just feel I should be compensated in some way for something that was not noted in the item description.
