Both my brattie ratties love this. Their poop does not have discoloration from this product which tells me it has no added coloring. It's very green, I'm just saying. So I was skeptical. 4 stars due to price but will buy again if on sale.

My dog turned his nose up at this stuff. It is so hard I couldn’t break it into smaller pieces with a hammer! I soaked it in hot water for 20 minutes and it’s still not breaking apart. At this point I’m thinking it would probably break a tooth but no worries as my dog won’t touch it anyway.

Bag came opened so I couldn't use.I wasn't going to chance using.Was looking forward to trying.

I have a picky chiweenie who I'm trying to feed a healthier, more natural dog food, which is why I decided to order this product. He can be a bit picky, but he had no problem taking to this food immediately. It smells a bit funky and healthy to me like vegetables, not meat, so I was worried he wouldn't want to eat it, but he likes it just fine. It seems like a very healthy high quality product, so I feel good about feeding it to him, but I do mix it with other food as I don't feel a vegan diet is healthy for dogs.Overall, I like this dog food, and it has met my expectations, but its a bit pricy. It is made from high quality natural ingredients and is well made, so I understand the price point, but its a bit out of my price range and budget, so for that reason I probably wouldn't order it again personally, but I do recommend it to others as far as quality goes, and because my dog liked it.

I have tried other vegan dog foods as well, and they were great, though many were baked. What is special about this one is it is air dried, preserving as much nutrient content as can be done without using high heat, which can denature/destroy several types of vitamins and nutrients. My dog loves it and inhales it before I can blink.So all that being said, why not 5 stars for a perfect dog food, if it is perfect? Quantity and pricing, that's why. Two pounds of food for 35USD, I would never buy myself two pounds of food that set me back 35 dollars, not even on my birthday, that is too expensive. A five pound bag of apples from a grocery store is 5-7 dollars, and a 10 pound bag of potatoes is 6-8 dollars, and a 20 pound bag of rice is 10-15 dollars. This food is great and thoughtfully formulated, but not so much that it deserves to be priced like that.To the manufacturer, I would say offer larger bags, and for more reasonable prices. Say, 20lb, 30lb, and 50lb bags for around 20, 30, and 50USD. If my money stretched far on this food, I would consider buying it with my money, but for now, it remains a sprinkling on top of my dogs normal food until it runs out.

My pups like them in small quantities but that's ok by me - these work great as training treats, they don't shatter easily making them perfect for travel.

I will start by saying, I’m not sure a plant based diet is ideal for dogs since they by nature carnivores. I believe they need meat to survive. I thought I would give this a try on my 2 dachshunds. One is a picky eater, and the other eats almost anything and LOVES food. Neither of my dogs will eat this food. It smells like vitamins and it’s very hard to the touch so it’s not appealing. I even mixed it into their dog food and they ate around it leaving only this food behind. I love the idea of a healthy diet for dogs, particularly if they have sensitive stomachs, but I don’t think most dogs will eat this.
