Oatey40610 Hercules Plumber's Silicone Grease

Awesome!!! This is some amazing silicone. Keep in mind, it's not like the stuff you squeeze out of a tube. It's not thick, but it's works just as long and you only have to put a tiny bit on.

Had a leaking flapper and applied the product and it worked great. I have plenty left over for future uses.

I ordered this silicone grease to use around my new car roof rubber to keep it soft and pliable. This will come in handy to help protect and make all seals more flexible. It is clear in color and the consistency of any regular grease you may have experienced. Just dab your finger in some, wipe it on any rubber details and massage it into the rubber. If needed, you can remove any excess with a soft clean cloth rag. Now all my rubber roof seals will operate as intended and hopefully be protected from the harsh elements out in the environment. I have purchased other Oatey products in the past, with favorable results. In the past I have purchased "diving grade" silicone grease for my household plumbing needs. This time, however, I purchased this Oatey item to save a dollar. And I was pleased. I use this stuff to lubricate the O-ring in my whole-house water filter housing. I also use it to lubricate the seals on my refrigerator, clothes dryer and dishwasher. It is worthy to note that, prior to using this item, I had a leaky dishwasher seal. I cleaned the seal with vinegar and then lubricated it with this Oatey silicone grease. My dishwasher has not leaked ever since and therefore I did not have to purchase the $35 seal from Kenmore! I am comforted to have this item amongst the "arsenal" of items in my workshop. Enjoy!

Good Stuff, perfect viscosity just what I was looking for

After reading reviews about how the defective batch of silicone grease (liquid instead of solid) had been corrected, I ordered the product. It arrived and poured out of the container with the consistency of syrup. I contacted Oatey and the representative said it's supposed to be runny. By definition, isn't "grease" supposed to be a solid and "oil" a liquid? Every other container of silicone grease I have owned has always been a solid. The Oatey rep said I would have to return it through Amazon and offered no assistance. I do not recommend this defective product, and am very disappointed that an Oatey representative would provide such false information.
