Way too small. The picture makes it appear much larger than it actually is. The bag barely came past my hip, no where near my knee.

I have a 1/2" mat. It took all I had to get it squeezed in this bag. I love the style, color and fabric of this bag, but it was a nightmare to get my mat in and then back out. There was definitely no access to the outer pocket when the mat was in the bag. There was also absolutely NO WAY to get my strap, water bottle or phone into this bag if my mat was in there. I also lost most of the shoulder strap and carrying it would be bothersome as my mat kept snagging and getting caught in my arm pit. I never used this bag as just trying to see if it would work made it obvious it wasn't going to do. I sent it back and ordered a different one that fits my 1/2" mat along with my water bottle, strap, wristlet, phone, etc and no fighting to use it!

I practice yoga almost daily and this bag does its job but it gets on my nerves most of the time. It would be SO much better if the shoulder strap were longer, I want to be able to carry it across my opposite shoulder but that's not possible. My mat is quite heavy, so that makes it even worse. Just like the picture shows, your mat will probably stick out the top quite a bit. My mat is basically up in my armpit and always in the way. I can't find a comfortable carrying position. Sometimes I carry it with the mat angled back, like in the picture, but its more comfortable facing forward, which puts the pockets on the inner side, close to my body when I carry it over my left shoulder so its not accessible.I want to like it because there's no zipper and the mat is easily accessible, but honestly I can't stand it any more. I can't believe Ive been using it for more than 6 months, UGH!

This hold my mat, towel, and water bottle, but it is very difficult to carry on my shoulder. The strap needs to be a few inches longer to fall where it looks like it does on the model. Yes, it’s winter, and I’m wearing a parka to walk to class, so maybe in summer I can get it onto my shoulder? It also falls over when sat down, which makes it difficult to put on my boots and parka after class. This was the most expensive bag I looked at, and I really expected to be happy with it. Now I’m just disappointed that I spend money on a bag that isn’t easy to carry on my shoulder and tips over when set down. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I do like the color and the material. Unfortunate wearing boots and a coat are a fact of life where I live for most of the year, so I’m still looking for a yoga bag that would be easy to take back and forth to class.

Love this bag! Others have commented that the strap is too short. I definitely expected it to be longer, but it actually is designed to be shorter so it's the mat stays in place when you walk. I'm 6'0 so if it's not too short for me, it's probably not too short for you :) I also use two mats, and this big is definitely big enough for both and has a great pocket to hold your things. Highly recommend!

I would buy this bag again if the company redesigned it to have the strap be thicker and more comfortable over the shoulder. Also a second pocket on the other side would be great so we can use it on either side. Free returns for those who aren't happy with the feel of the product is also a great addition to customer loyalty. As it is - if I want the pocket to be on the outside with the mat behind me, I have to wear it on my left arm. Otherwise the pocket is on the inside and isn't easily accessible. My mat feels kinda loose and flimsy and doesn't feel secure.Otherwise, it's cute and the actual fabric feels like it may last a while!

The strap is about 3 inches too short, which makes it very awkward to carry this bag. A little more length in the strap would make over the shoulder more comfortable and natural. I thought it may be because I am a larger dude (height and weight), but my girlfriend tried it and while it carried on her shoulder better than mine, she found it to be less than ideal, too.

I was looking for a yoga bag to hold my yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. I have a 5mm mat that's a little wider than most standard mats, and was happy to find that it has no problem fitting in this bag with plenty of room for my other items. Most others that I tried with my mat were too short and didn't have any carrying space.I do find that this is awkward to carry with a larger mat in it.It's feels like the mat is going to tumble out or that the whole thing is going to fall off my shoulder, but neither has ever happened.It gets the job done and does exactly what I wanted it to do, but the "awkward" factor keeps me from giving it a 5 star review.
