Yoga-Mad Natural Tree Yoga Mat

Q: Can someone upload a picture of the mat? I would like to see what the texture looks like. I am very sweaty in yoga and find most mats slippery

Not to worry, it is definitely non-slippery. I’m also very sweaty, but I have had more confidence since using this mat, especially when doing certain poses when you need a good grip. Best mat I have so far.

Q: Can you use the mat on either side? I see that these now come in different colour combinations - blue/slate, black/green and aubergine/lavender

I have only used the mat 'yoga-mad' side up.

Q: is the rubber hard to the touch. I have had a mat before that was hard and would make my hand ache

The material is harder compared with those cheap mats. But I never found it too hard that would cause my hands to ache. I actually love the mat because it is definitely non-slippery, especially when you need a good grip when doing certain poses. One negative thing though it is quite heavy.

Q: Does the mat feel like rubber to touch? Or does it have a smooth finish on it?

It feels pleasant and comfortable, not at all like rubber gloves if that's what you are thinking of, nor like car tyres, but as smooth as other yoga mats but with much better grip and the last far longer. As a full-time yoga teacher, I've used these mats for years and I love them, though I try anything new that looks good, I always come back to the natural rubber. If you are going to classes how about asking around if anyone has one you can feel.
