This book had it all for me the courageous stories of the two legends of WWII the Spitfire and Mustang in action capturing these war birds in there splendour of the events during the course of world war II.I particularly enjoyed the pilots personal stories and the women also playing their part in the developments of the making of the planes I found this story extraordinary and captivating and well illustrated.A truly definitive book bringing life to these two heroic legends of the skies I strongly recommend this book 5 stars

If you asked me to name two WWII planes, it'd be these, though until reading this book I didn't know much about them beyond what they look like. It was great to have the stories of these plane told not just by the author, but also by the Spitfire and Mustang pilots themselves - it really brought them to life. I was particularly surprised to learn about the money raised to build Spitfires during the war.

Very interesting book it not only tells the story of the planes. But also of the men and women with their extraordinary stories.I couldn't put this book down just had to finish it.A very informative read.

Fantastic read, couldn't put it down from the very first page, reading the whole collection, can't wait.

The writing was not very in depth for either model aircraft. And it took me all of 20 minutes to read. This book is way overpriced.
