Our cat can be picky on and off and prefers a rotation of foods so we were happy to discover she enjoyed this and we could include it in the rotation. I've always trusted nulo pet foods and appreciate their focus on protein for pets. There's big chunks and broth - it is almost a bit soupy. Our cat never finished broths - we'd prefer she did for hydration but she just won't. That being said, there is a bit less broth when she's done than when she starts so it does help. She seems to enjoy munching on the big chunks of food and we think that's one of the reasons she enjoys it. Would definitely recommend trying to see if your cats enjoy it too!

We ended up recently getting a pair of cats. Having had cats before: These cats are weird. Originally when trying to reintroduce the nightly 'treat time' where we give them a little bit of wet food (the highlight of our previous cats' evenings)...these two had zero interest in wet food.So when these were available, I decided to give it another try. Immediately upon popping open a can of this Nulo, one of the new cats, who had previously expressed no interest, was suddenly wrapped around my ankles and didn't quit until I had a plate set up for him. The other cat continues to be an oddball and prefers crunchy treats...but to even have gotten one interested was an achievement!Opening the can, it really looks like a nice thick rich stew with chunks and shreds of meaty goodness...sometimes a little TOO big and generous (no complaints from the cat though). It really just looks like its higher quality than various other canned options I've provided in the past.Overall, these seem to be a very high quality food that has even managed to tempt one of our cats who would never look twice at canned food in the past.

The consistency of this canned cat food surprised me at first. The shreds seemed much bigger than what I've seen in other shredded flavor variations. I was worried at first, because our cat has a history of eating the gravy and leaving the actual meat behind with these kinds of foods. For the first night, I mixed it in with one of her favorite pate meals - a chicken and pumpkin blend - and she ate it right up, finishing 3/4 of the bowl in maybe 10-15 minutes. The next morning, the bowl was clean with no shreds left. Score!Unlike other reviewers mention, I wasn't a big fan of the smell. It didn't smell like other shredded cat foods we've had and despite being chicken, tuna, and salmon it didn't smell particularly fishy. There didn't seem to be a lot of gravy either, so I'm glad I mixed it with a pate food. (I mix different combinations of wet foods every few nights in hopes of preventing our cat from becoming a picky eater.) The cans are a nice size and when I weighed the contents it was 2.8 oz as expected. Cat seems to like it, which is the most important part!

Our cat is getting older and enjoys softer wet food so we opted to try this out, especially because it is grain free. Our cat is a bit of a picky eater, but he went right for this can and ate about half of it, which is what I expected. Even though the cans are a nice small size, it's still a decent portion of food and could easily be 2 meals for most cats (morning and night). The meat is all mixed together and does not have a pate texture, it's like actual chunks of meat, so I like to think the quality is good and less processed. It did have a "cat food smell" to it, but I have never opened an unscented can of cat food!

All my cats seem to enjoy this canned food! I really like that it's a grain free option and there are real ingredients in them. Seems like a good deal for a pack of 12 of these.

Very high quality cat food. As soon as I opened the can I noticed that it REALLY smelled like human canned chicken! My cats started scarfing it down as soon as I put it down, but they did leave some behind, I honestly think they weren't very hungry when I gave it to them, but they ate most of it anyhow because it tasted so good. Neither cat had any digestive issues with it. It is a little pricier than our normal brand, but I'm sure that's because it's no grain and primarily meat only. I definitely would recommend for your furry friends!

My cat is a very finicky eater. He likes gravy, and fine little chunks. This kind from Nulo fit the bill perfectly. The fish smell was not too strong, because cat people know it can be overwhelming sometimes. The pieces were small enough for my cat to lick his bowl clean. If you have a finicky cat then you might want to pick up some yourself.

My cats are so finicky and will only eat one brand of cat food – and only their grilled products. When I saw this cat food and looked at the ingredient list, I had to give it a try. They love it and I love the fact that the ingredients are so healthy for them.
