Sony Extra Bass MDR-XB250 On-Ear Headphones (Black)

I still remember the moment when my friend came wearing these to a park. I asked him if I could check out the headphones. The moment I heard a song, I fell in love with the bass it had. Just asked him what the price was and the moment he said 999 rupees, I went home and ordered it. And then came these beautiful headphones.Okay. Now review time.Audio quality: Since I love bass, I really liked this headphone. It would say that is headphone produces good sound. I've never experienced any distortion of any sort(seriously, I realized that now because I've ever heard any noise from these headphones). Treble is alright I guess. The volume is never too high. Even at 100%, it never feels too loud that you wanna remove your ears. One thing that I've noticed usually in earphones or Chinese audio products is that hours of exposure used to mildly deafen my ears maybe for like 15 minutes. But in these headphones, I've never experienced that. The volume is never deafening and I feel this headphone is safe for the ears within 60% of volume and maybe even more.Built: They do not have any metal parts on the frame. Although the frame is made of normal plastics, this thing is sturdy as hell. I've at least dropped it like 20 to 30 times from a height of 4 feet. I dragged it when it was connected. I've slept on the bed wearing these earphones. But it's still working without any damage. Even the cables are of great quality. That's actually crazy. But, the coating of cushions sadly came off. Still, that's not a big deal because you can scrap it off. I didn't feel much difference after the coating got worn off. The inner coating is still intact and is alright.Comfort: I wouldn't say these are very comfortable because my ears start to ache due to the physical pressure of the frame on the ears after about 2 hours of usage. I have to take a break of 10 to 15 minutes to recover.Okay, now let we mention some Cons:1) Does not have good noise cancelation because it's not an On-ear headphone.2) The length of the cord is short. If you are connecting it to the back of a PC, it's really difficult.3) Cousins may wear off in the future.4) Prolonged usage maybe like 2 hours will irritate as the frame feels uncomfortable on the ears for so long since it kinda presses your ears.5) Does not come with a mic.Verdict: You could definitely go for these headphones if you like bass, decent sound and you don't blast music at 100% volume and you want to carry it around since the cord fine to walk around wearing these headphones while connected to a mobile. If you are some kind of true audiophile and want to listen to details, the lows, trebles, and all that blah blah, I don't think you should go for these. Competitive Gaming in these headphones is okayish since you don't get any 3D sound of things like footsteps and all minute details and it also doesn't have a mic. Overall, as a headphone for this price, it gets the job done and it might last really long due to it's great built. Plus it is mostly safe for the ears.

have become my daily drivers replacing my EarPods by a long shot. fair warning these are a little on the base side. the cushion is comfortable, and the head strap has no padding but its dosent push a lot of weight that u notice. got it on a lightning deal and i like the build qualityUpdate:-A year has gone by and these are still very much alive and kicking. The glossy backplate of the drivers have a ton of scratches but the rest of the device don't show any signs of wear and tear. The ear padding is still holding on nicely without any scuffs. The ratchet mechanism is still clicky and precise from day 1. The cable has been through a fair bit of abuse from tripping on it when connected to my phone or laptop, but nevertheless it hasn't shown signs of dislodging itself. The audio quality is still good as i still prefer them over my AirPods. All in all a great investment that has stood my me all this time and for many more years to come.

First the worst part - The headphone packet was pre-opened and tapes has been applied to close the openings. The headphone was in good condition though but may be this is an old product. This is really disgusting. I have previously bought products from amazon and same retailer but i have never expected this.Price to performance ratio - i got this for 899. In that price this is not exactly value for money, but it's ok. For 1149, i would say not to buy the headphone.Form factor - This is surely not a over the head type headphone. Please correct the description. Its somewhat bigger than e typical on the ear headphones.Build quality - This is place where ot shines. Very good material and lock mechanism used. Doesn't feel heavy at all. Cable quality is very good.Sound Quality - First of all the bass is good but this headphones really lacks the loudness. The loudness must be some more to enjoy the bass quality it can deliver, but alas sony doesn't think same way. But the sound is crystal clear and also noise cancellation is pretty good.Amazon delivery - Delivery was real quick but i had to contact customer service as amazon has notified me 5 hours earlier that the product is delivered whereas actualy i have got the product much later. This is not expected.

The only headphones I bought 10 years ago are still working perfectly, even after such harsh and rough usage. I think they are military-grade headphones that never fail in any situation and are suitable for all kinds of users.>No wire issues.>No sound issues.>Yes, the earcups have been damaged over time, but they are still in usable condition.Hats off to such a durable brand.

At the time of ordering this headphone i was a bit worried about it originality,but luckily i got the genuine one.Now about the headphone...1.It's build quality is good and wire quality is also good but it creates some disturbing sound because of plastic only when i use it while eating or running.2.sound quality is good,base(low) is good as mentioned in description but i have to control the base according to environment as at night time base is more so i have to reduce it by equaliser and at outside in full of those traffic noises, base is less so i have to boost it.And high(treble) is not as much as base so i have to boost it.Overall i am satisfied with the headphone and i suggest to every one that if you want you buy this headphone than wait for few month at buy it at Rs 800 then it will be best value for money.
