My previous review about this toner I believe was a bit premature. I purchased the big bottle first and I thought I didn’t like it. But I’ve grown to love this toner. It brightens the skin and is very moisturizing. Definite repurchase!

Made my face feel amazing. Made skin soft

This rice toner is very lightweight. It is not clogging which I realllyyyy appreciated, because surprisingly I’ve been running into a lot of toners that feel super lightweight but after a few days I’m noticing clogging.I was so relieved to see I’m not suffering from that with this toner. There is a smell but it is not annoying and also seems light. I actually like it.

I remember the days when a toner was pure astringent, which is why I haven't used one in years, until now. This Rice Bran Toner by House of Dohwa is a completely different animal than what toners used to be, and I love it!First off, it has rice bran, which is thought to be very nourishing and hydrating for the skin. In addition to that it contains niacinamide which is a form of B3 and will brighten the complexion along with boosting collagen and reducing redness. The other main ingredient is betaine, which can reduce dryness, while also soothing, plumping and hydrating. This is one multitasking toner!The solution can be applied with hands or cotton balls, I prefer cotton balls. I find that this toner is very soothing and calming to my inherently red complexion. My skin also feels well hydrated after using it, not dried out at all (as some toners do).It is a light and watery consistency, which feels refreshing going on and quickly absorbs to leave no sticky residue at all. I love using this toner before moisturizing for both day and night, and have been finding my skin a lot less dry since I started using it.I also love that it does not contain any alcohols, silicones, or fragrance. It is fragrance free except for a very mild scent of the natural ingredients inside, which smell vaguely like aloe. The price at the time of this review is $25, which for a 6.76 oz bottle of mostly natural ingredients I think is a very good value.

I've been wanting to try a rice toner for so long! Highly recommend this if you have oily to combination skin because it's so light and refreshing, but very hydrating! I think all skins would benefit from this honestly, but it's the perfect texture to hydration level that balances my skin to not be overly oily throughout the day. I do think there's some evening in my skin tone, PIH looking less noticeable, but I have been pairing this with my vitamin c serum in the mornings and the combo might be what is contributing to the overall brightening.
