Worked great! I somehow got "volunteered" to make a tree stump for my daughter's ballet performance. I decided that foam was the way to go. After creating a wood frame I filled it with foam and coated it with spray foam for bark then used this for the final coat. It does not produce a smooth finish and can't be sanded. (There are other products by this company that can be sanded). This finish was perfect for a tree stump though. I mixed it a bit thinner than the directions say and used a paint brush to apply it. I then finished with spray paint. This stuff makes the foam pretty sturdy and paintable. I did have a few small pieces that broke off, but it has held up through many rehearsals and traveling to competitions.

Package states it will cover 12 sq ft per pound, so when I bought two I expected them to last me a while. Wrong! I had a project that came out to be 12 sq ft and it took almost two full three lb containers to cover the area! The coating was thin and brittle and would require an additional coating and another 5 lb!! Not worth the money when I can use grout which seems to be the same thing. Very disappointed.

It does coat the foam and harden ,but dosent go anywhere near as far as the container says,and dosent produce anything that a coat of concrete latex paint and a bag of sanded grout could do,for small scale crafts this might be great ,but not for any project larger than a shoe box

Doesn't cover nearly as much as it states and I made it really thin.

Wonderful stuff! Used this on some new reptile houses I made. You can follow the mixing directions, but I just mixed it to the consistency that I liked. It's better for it to be more liquidy since it is easier to apply. I just did multiple coats and it went on great! Washes up with water. I'll be ordering more!

Such a small container for the price.

This stuff is great for terrariums. You get feel and look of rock while adding strength and some weight to Styrofoam. The dark "cave" is made of Styrofoam!
