Geekria Flex Fabric Headband Cover Compatible with Sony WH-1000XM6/XM5, MDR-1ADAC/1ABT/1AM2/1R/ 1RNC/1RBT/1A Headphones, Replacement Repair Part (Black)

I first purchased this product to protect the headband of my Sony MDR-1AM2 headphones. They aren't the best headphones in my collection of cans by any means but I wanted to protect the faux leather wrap around the headband so that it doesn't decay and peel away, and I'm fairly certain that without this nice product that is exactly what would happen.I bought this headphone to use while lying on my back in bed when my broken old body tells me to get horizontal. It's a FUN sounding headphone if not of the level of my Audeze, Focal, Dan Clark, HiFiMan or Sennheiser headphones and I enjoy them for what they are.This headband cover went on easily enough and looks terrific. Sure, I can see what people are complaining about on the underside of the headband. There is a bit of an imperfection if you will where I can see that it doesn't quite lay flat. It's a bit of a bulge but I can't feel it on my melon and it's not a big deal. It would be far worse if the pleather were to start peeling away like on those cheap faux non-leather couches and chairs, and once placed upon my gourd nobody can see it anyway. It fits the length of the headband perfectly and is very comfortable. I may try a 2nd upon my Elex to see if it will stretch enough to get around a thicker headband.Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anybody.Update: I recently purchased a pair of Mark Levinson No. 5909 headphones which are superb and I wanted to protect the headband on them so I bought another one of these covers and as of 12/06/22 my newest cans are protected as well as the Sony's. It was a bit of a struggle getting the cover on the 5909's but with a little bit of patience everything worked out fine.

The elastic on both ends of the cloth where the zipper is located was a pain to work with to line the zipper up but once its installed it looks decent but I don't like how the zipper is in plain sight however its plenty soft and looks better than the original headband. After many years the original headband wore down to the cloth under the leather and this solved that issue.

This headband cover wasn't made for the Aonic-50, but I checked the dimensions gave it a try. It is a snug fit, but it worked and this headband is MUCH better than the original on the Aonic. one subtle complaint is the zipper could use a bit more concealment, just for esthetics. A very minor issue compared to how much more comfortable my headphones are now.

My partner bought the AKG N700NC Wireless at my recommendation because I found a great deal on it, but we had a problem: my partner has a small head. The N700NC was ALMOST small enough at it's smallest setting, but not quite. This cover fixed that problem, thanks to Geekria's precise documentation of measurements. At the ends, it was the right size to just wrap around the headband. In the middle, it has enough extra room for us to cut up some foam and stuff into cover. The foam stayed put with the cover zipped, and the minimal aesthetic perfectly blended into the aesthetic of the N700NC. The headphones now fit my partner's head perfectly, and they couldn't be happier. Thanks Geekria!

Received a defective item. Broken zipper that will not zip. No returns! After contacting customer service in their website, they wanted evidence of the product not working which I supplied and was given a refund. Overall not the smoothest experience, but not a completely terrible one either.

Although not listed, this fit my MDR-ZX750BN. If you can do a zipper, the installation is easy to do with the stretchy fabric. Now the flakes are covered.

It works but but doesn't look so good.

Didn't quite fit the length of the band, but close. Pain in the tookus to get it zipped around the band. Took my wife and I both to get it on. Would have been simpler to sew black velcro to material and have the seam close on top of the band. Good thing my wife is smarter than I am working with a small fabric zipper.
