Q: Does flaxseed go bad?

I keep the flax seeds in the freezer and grind enough for a week, and keep those in fridge.

Q: Once opened, how long will flax seeds last in the refrigerator?

Once opened, we always suggest sticking to the expiration date. Whole flax should last a little past the expiration date if stored properly, but ground flax will only last 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Q: Can this product be blended into a vegetable smoothie drink?

I ground mine in a coffee grinder first. That makes a fine powder that blends better in the smoothie. Ground only what you plan to use in the smoothie.

Q: It seems 2 (tbl)spoonfulls of seeds grinds to more than 2 (tbl)spoonfulls of "powder". How many tbsp of seeds do you use per day?

I have used 2 tablespoons of seeds, then ground them and added that to my smoothie.
