Not very effective but like that doesn't stain hands
It hasn't turned hair black yet. Looks more reddish. Have used dye type shampoos and didn't like that it stains your fingers. This doesn't do that.

Been Using this for awhile. You only need a really little to get that thru your hair. I still have Grey's so maybe it more nourishing???
