Q: how many mms is the face and what is the thickness of this watch?

41.2 mm by 11.6mm thick. Good watch can read it in the night without my glasses.

Designed for a male, but as a female I tried it on and would love to wear it as well. (It was a gift for a male)

I prefer a velcro band. I searched on Amazon and Ebay with no luck. One day in Walmart I spotted one I liked, the girl put it on. All for $8. Love it.

Q: How does this feel against the wrist? Most watches I've tried have always made my wrist sore after a few days of wear.

Depends how tight you put it on. Just wear it snugly and you'll be fine. I used to wear watches that would give me an allergic reaction. This one doesn't and I have been wearing it every day. The material feels nice and soft.
