I was looking for a weekend duffel with a separate shoe compartment as a Christmas gift for my brother. I had done a lot of research, and originally decided on the Herschel Novel duffel, but didn't buy it because it was too expensive and I was hoping for a sale. As I was stalking the Herschel, the Peak Weekender Duffel came up as an option, and the price piqued my interest. The specs were nearly identical and the Peak reviews were overwhelmingly positive, so I decided to order it. I’m THRILLED with my choice!The fabric has a fantastic weight to it—just heavy enough to obviously be quality, but perfectly light for luggage. The zipppers are also clearly good quality. I’m impressed with the design as well; there are plenty of pockets to stay organized, but will be flexible for a variety of uses. A feature I love is that the outside pocked has a zipper on the bottom. Zipped up, it’s a regular pocket. Unzipped it slips over the telescoping handle of a rolling suitcase. Love that versatility!The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that it was supposed to come with a ReturnMe ID tag, but it wasn’t in my order. I reached out to customer service, and they were STELLAR. They clearly take pride in their product and value their customers. They took care of the issue and made sure I was happy. I’m so pleased with this purchase and will definitely buy again as gifts!

4/22 UPDATE: I absolutely stand by this five star review. Peak may have the best customer service I've ever experienced. The bag was working wonderfully again, but again, I noticed that the hook was coming loose. Because it was gradual wear and tear, I just decided to take a photo and send it to them so they could let their product team know there were issues with the hook. I told them I DID NOT want another bag or strap as it just seemed like such a small issue and design issue (instead, I was going to just pick up a strap online because the actual product is great and it would be super cheap to get one). AGAIN, they stood behind their product so much that they told me they had redesigned the strap and wanted me to give that a try and just shipped me a new strap, which, indeed, felt like it had been designed differently.This review was already a 5 star and I was never going to dock points because the actual bag itself is incredible (durable and very aesthetically pleasing) and the fact that they were so on top of the issues the first time. But I just felt like this needed to be made known. I've never seen a company so proud of their product and have such exceptional customer service. I'll definitely be buying their products in the future and I suggest you do the same! Seems like a company with the right attitude to succeed!ORIGINAL:Hey all, first of all, this bag is gorgeous. The material is nice and thick and it just feels nice and sturdy. Unfortunately, on my second use of the bag, the shoulder strap snapped immediately at the connection point between the strap and the bag. This was pretty disappointing as I've had a super beat up duffel from nike that's 10 years old at this point that's still held up fine. I sent a message to customer service over facebook to see if I could get a new strap, and they were incredible. They immediately took ownership of the issue, replied quickly, and rather than sending my a new strap, they sent me a new bag with two day shipping! Really happy about that.I'm hoping the issue with the strap was only a defect but props for incredible customer service regardless!

SPACIOUS, DURABLE, SMOOTH ZIPPERI did a LOT of shopping while on an extended vacation in Houston, Texas, and ran out of room in my suitcase.While searching for carry-on duffel bags online, I found the Weekender Duffel Bag.My main criteria were capacity and durability, and I am not disappointed.Capacity: I was able to fit four pairs of adult (women's) shoes and my son's shoes in the shoe compartment. I was also able to fit all of the clothes I purchased in Houston, along with a few other items, in the main compartment.Durability: The material appears to be very strong, and the zipper was very smooth, even though the bag was filled to maximum capacity.Versatility: The extra compartments are extremely handy.Handling: The design of the bag is perfect for traveling, and the shoulder strap is very comfortable.Vendor: Peak Gear - The bag was delivered on-time, in good shape.I am looking forward to using this bag on my next trip.

First of all I want to start by saying this bag is an excellent size and has so many smart touches that make it a great travel companion. I have a size 11.5 shoe and I’m able to fit a pair of boots and a pair of slides comfortably inside the shoe pocket while fitting my clothing and other items. The build quality is great, the seams are well sewn, the pockets and other facets are fastened well. The overall construction quality is excellent. My only issue is with the zippers: They haven’t failed yet but they are a little on the thin side. This wouldn’t prevent me from suggesting this bag especially at this price point.

I needed a new weekender bag for weekend trips I often take and wanted something chic and easy to carry, but with enough space to have enough clothes for a few days and would hold an extra pair of shoes. I am used to carrying a book bag as a weekender bag, so this was a big change. I was originally skeptical about this less compartmented bag, but it turned out to be just what I needed. It is small enough to carry-on when flying (I loathe checking bags) but spacious enough to fit all my clothes, a laptop, my kindle and a pair of shoes. I actually found it easier to take things out of this bag because it is less compartmented.The bag is very sturdy and looks great. It appears expensive and high quality. Overall, I am very satisfied with the bag and I am sure it will get me through many trips to come!

Took for a camping trip. This bag is well made - sturdy and for the price it is an amazing deal.

Same quality and look as Herschel for so much less. Great size, so many compartments perfect for a weekend getaway!!!!
