Pioneer MVH-S400BT Double DIN Car Receiver With Bluetooth

My husband and I bought this for our new (used) car. We're both in our 20s and pretty up-to-date with technology, but we're of the few that don't like touch screen car stereos. I really prefer buttons I can press while I drive without looking, and I find touch screens in cars almost never work properly - I'm afraid I'll cause an accident sometime trying to change the station! I find the "regular" stereos with buttons work much better (and last longer) than touch screen stereos.Anyway, I LOVE this stereo! It has great sound options (you can increase/decrease several sound frequencies, many more options than just Highs/Mids/Lows which most cars have), has a simple and minimalist design, comes with a little microphone you can place in front of the steering wheel for Bluetooth calls, and can keep 2 Bluetooth connections at the same time (which is awesome - both of us can have our phones connected at all times).Overall, this was a great purchase! It was hard to find a simple, minimalist, button stereo without the flashy lights, touch screen, and way too many features. This works great and I'm very happy with the quality!

I bought this to replace an aging factory stereo in my 2006 Ford Focus and a cheap aftermarket phone to stereo adapter. To start off, the phone integration of this stereo works just as good as the built in factory units provided you put the mic in a good place. The stereo produces great sound over the factory unit and processes the radio signal better in places where I normally wouldn't be able to hear my favorite radio stations. This double din is surprisingly small! Thats not a complaint, but if you want to put this stereo in the same car I did, you'll have to fabricate a bezel frame to fill the void around it or you could make yourself a small shelf, since there is so much room left over. I fabricated a frame using some leftover aluminum from a project, but my cuts and bends weren't perfect and left myself a space at the top that gives the illusion of a CD player. To be clear, this stereo does not come with a CD player. Also this stereo doesn't come with a way to mount it to your factory stereo space. I ended up cutting up the old factory stero so I could use the stock brackets to mount this unit.

Needed a bare bones media head unit for a convertible that would not attract attention. This unit is so ugly, I dont think it will get stolen. It fill's the bill perfectly. A pretty good value, in that it functions well and has really pretty good sound. Display is OK, but visible in the sunlight. LEDs look rainbow with polarized glasses on. Menus are a bit convoluted, but there is lots of functionality. Power is adequate without a preamp for basic car stereo and phone. It's still more money than a comparable single din unit would cost, but suits my situation well.

What can you say, Pioneer Supertuner radio that pulls in all the stations, decent sized buttons to access functions, good sounding bluetooth connection. As others have noted, the display can be hard to see in sunlight, but the price rules. It isn't even that ugly, but I can't imagine anyone breaking into my older GMC Jimmy to take this. Remote was a bonus at this price point as well. If you don't need CD and can fit a double DIN, this is a pretty decent deal. BTW, I spent 20 years in Consumer Electronics retail, with a focus on car audio. Underdash SuperTuner I rocked back in the day and the tuners on these still rock!

I have this installed in a 2005 Toyota Camry. It does everything it is supposed to. The 3 star is only because of the looks. It looks cheap which I guess is good. Not worth breaking in to the car to steal it. It's a double-din stereo with a lot of wasted screen space. All functions work fine. Easy Bluetooth pairing. Decent sound. For an inexpensive car stereo it does everything well except look good. If looks aren't important to you and functionality is, then this is the stereo for you.

After installation I noticed that does not support 1-3 ohm speakers. But seems to drive 3 ohm speakers okay, knock on wood, just distortion at high levels. Considering installing an old Amp. The blue tooth connection is excellent, resyncs automatically within seconds and resumes Spotify. Phone call quality is not great but works consistently.

Such a great purchase, I was a bit worried about ordering something like this online instead of going and getting one in person. It was clearly handled with care though as everything came in perfect condition and the item was very protected and packaged properly. Overall this radio has been great. My boyfriend installed it into my 2005 Ford Focus for me and it was a breeze. I have had it for about a month now and have not had any issue at all with it, it was definitely a great buy!

I normally don’t leave reviews because I don’t have time to waste on these sort of things but this really upsets me... Shame on the Amazon shipping person for sending me a broken stereo (the box had obvious damage to it but the stereo looked like it hadn’t been damaged until looking closer and it won’t even power on, just lights up). Didn’t figure it out until it was already installed and called right away to express my frustration with this. Apparently you’re supposed to have it uninstalled and send in all the parts it came with in order to receive a replacement. I spoke with a supervisor demanding I receive a replacement before I send back the broken unit so I can just unplug the old and plug in the new and then send it back with the new wiring harness that comes with the new one. I have to wait over a week for them to “expedite” my order replacement. SMH

Tiene muy buen sonido como estéreo y el BlueTooth funciona bien para música y para teléfono manos libres.. y además tiene salidas RCA Buena compra !
