Excellent source of minerals for outdoor potted plants and vegetable gardens
Both blood and bone meal have a distinct strong smell upon application. However, mixing both with peat and soil help evenly spread and cuts smell a bit.

Has kept the animals away. I only wanted it for flowering shrubs. I don't know how it would work for vegetables.

Easy Gardewner 09327 Jobes Organic Blood Meal, 3 Pounds
I purchased "Easy Gardener 09327 Jobes Organic Blood Meal" for my plants as I read that in England they use Blood Meal to keep deer from eating all of your garden plants and flowers. The Jobes Organic Blood Meal is the best nitrogen source for my soil as well. I could not find a product link but it is located in the "Lawn and Garden " section of Amazons catagories.
