Great booknook
Not too hard to put together but still challenging enough. Looks great when finished.

Fun build!
I have built a few of these now and this one so far has been my favorite! The pieces were easy to remove and put together and I had no breakage issue like I have with others. I also feel feel like the wiring was much simpler to do because you were able to do it from the top instead of the side. The top also has a bunch of different window patterns that allow natural light in so when the light is not on, you still have the interior illuminated. You can open it from the side as well to see into it, so I think that was a nice extra little feature. Worth the money in my opinion!

Cute project with some issues
Cute project, but not the nicest or most well-made. (Minicity gets that accolade.) It took longer than I thought it would because the instructions were often unclear, and I'm pretty experienced at this craft. I wouldn't recommend it for a teen unless they're an experienced model builder with a lot of patience. Each tiny food piece has to be sanded, placed, and glued, and I strongly suggest gluing everything so it's solid enough to move around, if only during assembly. I use furniture touch-up markers to restore the edges to the right color after sanding. Here are some issues.1. There is a LOT of paper that has to be cut out and pasted together. It comes on several sheets that are all A04- or A05-, and I found myself sifting through pages looking for A04-22A etc. Much better to name the pages individually and simplify the numbering. Also none of these pieces are adhesive. Everything has to be glued. Glue is not included.2. Many of the pieces rely on joining smooth edges with no tabs to strengthen the joint. For things like hanging signs, lights, awnings, this makes a very delicate bond. The good kits are better designed so pieces snap into place. Also glue is not included, and you're going to be using a lot of it.3. Big issues with the lighting. First step is to test it, which means joining the white wires to the black wire from the battery box, and the off-white wires to the red wire. The kit supplies 2 pieces of adhesive tape to cover these joins, which I did in step 1. (There isn't enough wire stripped either to make a reliable contact, but that's easy to fix.) However, when you're installing the lights, the wires for each of the 3 lights have to be threaded through the fixture, which is impossible if the contacts are taped up. Whatever. I separated the wires and did the test again. THEN when you're installing the fixtures, you discover those wires have to be separated AGAIN to run through eyelets attached to the frame! I gave up at this point and just used black electrical tape, which is the same color as that part of the roof.4. There is no cover for the battery box. It just sits in a cavity in the back, and you have to reach back there to turn the lights on and off. It needs a touch-sensitive switch.5. No dust covers.Fun, but needs patience.

Great build and design.
First time purchasing one of these wooden miniature kits and was not disappointed. Loved the whole design of this coffee shop and all the details that were included. Instructions were pretty clear and straight forward. Only problem I ran into was with one of the book shelves not being level when inserted into the wall which caused the part with drawers to stick out (pictured). Other than that I enjoyed every second of building it and was happy that it included the lighting. Took me a few hours to complete. Looking forward to purchasing the other models.

Fun with great details.
My first book nook and it was so fun. Love all the little details. This was easy to put together. I don’t have any issues with construction (unlike some others I’ve made since).

Easy to assemble
This is a really well made kit and easy to assemble with minimal gluing. Great kit for intermediate level skills. I've put together a couple dozen kits and really like the ones made by Fsolis. Pieces are printed on both sides and thick enough that they don't break when applying pressure to snap in the pieces. Easy to follow directions. I love that the door to the shop actually opens and closes.
