Chute 1.0 Replacement Bottle Cap

Fit perfectly on my camelbak. No leaks so far in the 2 days I have had it but I will report back if it starts leaking. I am able to use on my stainless steel wide mouth insulated bottles if I just screw on the lid and leave the part that attaches the cap just hanging there. I may experiment to see if there is leakage if I just cut that part off and then just attach that ring as a separate piece to the camelbak one when I use with the camelbak (and using a small non weight bearing carabiner to keep the cap attached to the lid's carry handle since I plan on using the stainless steel bottles more often and in fact that is the intended purpose of buying this lid in the first place. Works perfectly with camebak but for those interested in using it as a "hack" for other brains stainless steel bottles I think it will work there too you just need to not us the thin o ring like piece that hold the cap. Seems the stainless steel threads are perhaps shallower.

I just bought a new camelbak bottle the other day. Lost it at the beach day 1. Fml. Looked in the kitchen cabinet for another bottle. We have 4 camelbak bottles and 1 cap. Figures. These replacement chute caps are great. Much easier to keep clean than the eddy style caps. Personally, I like the original caps, the ones that were $3 that camelbak discontinued. Should bought more of those, but didn't think they'd discontinue their best, simplest cap.Anyways, great cap for your camelbak bottles. We have a kids bottle, 2 .750ml bottles, and a 1 liter. These fit all of them. For people complaining that these suck and leak and get mold, that's your fault. These caps and bottles are not designed for carbonated drinks. It will leak if you do. If you put soda in here and then it leaks in your gym bag, don't complain. And why are you drinking soda at the gym? Dumb. If you get mold in the cap, wash it. Every bottle or cap on the market is subject to getting mold. These aren't any different. Use common sense folks. It goes a long way.

Easy to drink, easy to clean, spill proof. Bought for my glass .7L camelbak.The original bitevalve grew this black mold or grim (?) and I got constantly paranoid that it was dirty. On top of that, it was hard to clean and I had to squish my fingers in to try to scrape the stuff out. A much more minor concern was that I had gotten the glass bottle because I prefer glass to plastic and there was still a plastic straw (that would very occasionally come detached) sitting in my water. Ordered this as a replacement, fell in love and just recently ordered another.This is a screw cap like a normal water bottle you'd buy at a store. The cap slides into the back of the main lid and holds in place, but for quick drinks I just loop my finger through the plastic loops you can see in the pic. It covers the entire mouth piece so I don't feel like its going to get contaminated if it falls top first into dirt (as I would with the bitevalve).I haven't run it through the dishwasher yet, but it's been easy enough to clean anyway.Love it. It's great. Wish it were the original.

I love the chute caps! They make it easier to gulp down water throughout the day. My kids are not fans on the other hand because it is not easy for them to screw the top back on. It can easily become cross thread which does not seal the bottle. It is hard to tell whether or not it is closed properly (if you are a kid). I have no problems at all but they come home with wet backpacks all the time form the bottles leaking. I went back to using the original bite valve for them and I use the chute's!

This bottle cap has worked wonderfully for me after my last glass bottle cracked. I now use a plastic CamelBak with this lid and it accomplishes all of my water bottle needs. There is a plastic collar beneath the lid that snaps onto the bottle. This means that even when you unscrew the lid, it is still attached by the collar -- useful for filling up the water bottle with one hand!I also appreciate that you can open the spout and drink from a smaller opening than the entire bottle. This makes it easy to drink while walking or biking. It's the perfect size -- small enough that you can use it effectively while moving, but large enough for good water output. It definitely quenches your thirst quickly.The build quality seems to be great. Every part of this lid is durable and has held up to a few months of wear and tear, in bags and out. I look forward to many years using this lid.

I have two Camelbak Chute water bottles that I purchased complete in a store and have had no problems with them, they are still as good as new after almost 2 years of daily use. So I bought this to replace a Camelbak Eddy (bite valve straw) lid so we could have a 3rd bottle with the chute lid. Unfortunately it LEAKS!! It leaks where the small cap screws on to the main larger lid. Compared to the original lids on my other bottles, this one looks like it was more cheaply made. I switched parts around with my other two lids and determined that the small cap is not causing the leak, it is the larger main lid that does not seal tightly with the cap. I guess I will stick to buying it as a set (bottle & lid) in store. Very disappointed! Love the Chute lids that came with the bottles, just extremely disappointed with the cheaply made replacement lids. I previously purchased replacement lid/parts for the Eddy (bite valve straw) lid in store and it was just as good as the original that came with the bottle. So the quality issue with the replacement lids seems to be limited to the Chute replacement lids.
