Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack 4G LTE Prepaid Mobile Hotspot

This version of Jetpack comes as a locked device. Verizon will absolutely not unlock it even in the stores. It is completely useless! Amazon must take this product from this seller off the market. Purchase this Hotspot at an original Verizon Store and not a retailer. Make sure it is a device for prepaid accounts and let them activate it. Call the store first to make sure they have the product. Verizon personnel is fairly uninformed about prepaid accounts and the new unlimited plan. In my opinion, after wasting many hours on the phone and driving long distance to three stores, the original Verizon store is the answer for prepaid. Once activated by Verizon, this Jetpack works well.

This was a ridiculous waste of money. Tried going online to ad data and it said "Unit is locked, contact retailer." When I got a chance I took it to the Verizon Store. It took the clerk there about and hour and a half, talking to Verizon on the phone, to finally get it unlocked and add data (another $60 for 6 gigs). Thought I was set, but this unit would not show me how much data I had or any usage information. There is a spot where it's supposed to show usage data, but this unit never showed anything. I used the unit 2 times for about 3 hours total and zap, my 6 gigs is gone? What a rip off.

This hotspot is working just great for me. I have been using my ellipsis jetpack in my motorhome now for over a week now. It has worked perfectly. Even while I am driving down the interstate it remains connected and feeding data to our phones. And unlimited data to for $70 a month.

I am not happy with the service and product

Fun fact... The Verizon store wanted to charge me 500 bucks for this thing and i got it on amazon for 30. Costs me 20 bucks a month to add it and I get 15gb unlimited data and now I don’t have to pay for this over 24 months at an extra 21 for the hotspot...

I did not have much trouble setting this up. Verizon chat assisted and sign up was a breeze! Then the real nightmare began. One or two bars, or the dreaded ‘no service available’ in the house where I needed it the most! Took it out for a spin. Three bars and one device while out on the highway. Back to catatonic when home. My Verizon phone works at home so this is completely inexplicable. Cannot sustain a google search. Don’t even try to stream YouTube! Impossible to get on the my jet pack site. I wondered if Xfinity was blocking that. Not sure, so I tried on a T-Mobile phone. Worked! Not very useful yet. We’ll see if it give give me date usage info at some point. Will not recommend this production if you can do better.
