Dumb in the best way
I got this because I wanted something fun and ridiculous, kind of like a cheap knockoff action movie prop, and that’s exactly what this is. It’s super fun to mess around with, especially the shell-ejecting feature. That part is way cooler than it has any right to be for the price. There is a slight issue where the bullets can slip out of the shells, but it's easy to fix if you're a little careful or willing to tinker. Still kind of annoying, but honestly? Worth it for how entertaining the whole thing is.It’s one of those things that’s so dumb it loops around to being amazing. Kids would love it, immature adults too. Definitely not serious or high-end, but if you want something fun to fidget with or use for goofy slow-mo videos, this delivers.

Inexpensive Fun Toy
For the price this is actually a pretty cool toy. The box comes with more than enough ammo, which is pretty good considering how small the foam bullets are. I was surprised by the power and distance this thing had in it. My daughter and I had set up some empty coke cans and took turns seeing who could hit the most. Yes there are more realistic, powerful, accurate options out there, but you're also going to spend a lot more money on those. For what this is, at the price its at, it's more than enough for messing around the house with. The way this works is you load the little foam bullet into the back of the plastic bullet shell, then load into the magazine. Once the magazine is loaded, you pull the slide back and it will load one into the chamber, then you shoot. The casing will not eject until you rack the slide again, so you will need to rack the slide for each shot. One thing I did notice is that the magazine catch which prevents the bullets from popping out the magazine, is a little weak. Do not try to load more than 8 bullets in each magazine. Once you think you've got that 9th bullet loaded it will spring out, followed by all the other bullets you've loaded and they will spray everywhere. 8 is perfect and plenty of ammo per magazine.

fun idea, needs improvement
This gun is a super fun idea executed pretty poorly. The bullets are loaded into the shells which are then loaded together into the clip. The clip has a strong spring and a weak grip so the bullets tend to fly out while loading (expect rage quits after 3rd attempt). After loading the clip to max capacity which is 6 (it seems like it should fit at least 10 but the spring mechanism launches your entire clip if you load a 7th), if properly loaded etc. the gun shoots the small nerf missile and expels the shell. It's honestly a very cool toy when it works but the payoff for a child is very small. In 6 seconds your clip is empty and your 2-block lego-sized nerf darts are scattered. At least the plastic shells are easy to find since they land nearby, and personally I prefer loading only empty shells into the gun because it saves time AND those tiny projectiles are CHOKING HAZARDS and very easily lost. The gun jams frequently.

Safe and Engaging Toy Gun for Older Kids
This soft bullet toy gun exceeded my expectations. My 12-year-old was really eager to try it, and while I was hesitant at first (especially because of how realistic it looks) we set some clear ground rules and gave it a go.Assembly was quick and easy. He was able to follow the instructions on his own and had it loaded and firing within minutes. He especially loves how realistic the loading and firing action feels. One important note: the orange tip is removable, so we made sure to put it back on right away. It's essential for safety and visibility. The soft bullets shoot farther than I expected, and the aim is surprisingly accurate. The only thing that could have made this better is if it came with some paper or foam targets for practice, but he was happy to set up some cans and get creative.Overall, this has been a big hit and seems like a great choice for older kids with a strong understanding of safety rules.

Very cheap feeling
Got this for my 9 year old. It does work but it does not shoot far at all maybe 15 feet at most. It also feels extremely cheap like 1 drop and it will break. The "nerf bullets" also have a hard time staying inside the "shells". If it was battery powered it may get one more star but having to cock it each time, Combined with the poor quality gets it 3.

Not bad for the price but not perfect
Nice looking toy gun and a good way to teach younger ones proper gun safety. For the price it works ok with only occasional jams, but that is to be expected. The one thing that you need to know is that even though the gun resembles a semi automatic pistol, you will have to rack the slide after each shot as there is obviously no compression from the round to rack the slide back automatically, but again, for the price, you can have a few hours of fun plinking empty cans.

Really fun and interactive toy
This toy gun is very realistic and fun. There a little foam bullets to load into the shells, then those shells can be loaded into a magazine just like a real gun. This is a great toy for it's realism and fun interactions. Since the mechanism that loads the rounds from the magazine is similar enough to the real thing, it jams in similar ways as well. This could actually be a good thing for education, since it's a much safer way to teach about gun safety, clearing jams, and loading without using the real thing. It shoots a decent distance, and when the slide it racked back, it ejects the shell just like a real gun.The biggest downside of this toy is that the bullets are so small, they're bound to get lost. Thankfully there are plenty of them included.

Cheap and broken.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this gun at all. It’s cheaply made. The “gold” comes off on my hand if I hold it long enough. It quit working after the first day. It doesn’t shoot at all now. The trigger is “limp” when it’s squeezed and the bullets don’t come out. I just think it’s a very cheaply made product that isn’t made to last.
