Q: Can you transport pieces on trays inside without disturbing them

Good Grief, I had to remember what this even was, but I can answer your question because at the time we did quite a few jigsaws. Yes, the trays lay down flat inside side by side and on top of the puzzle that is being worked on. When you shut the lid and zip it up, the top quality cushioning traps everything just the way you left it. Of course, you have to be sure of which side you open the case from and it has to be on a flat surface. That took one error to learn. We do still have it although I can't remember exactly which puzzle is in progress. Hope this helps.

Sarah: This puzzle carrier is not at my home right now to measure accurately. However, the dimensions are 32x22. Going on memory, you would need to reduce the actual puzzle size about 1 to 1.5 inches to be sure the puzzle fits. Some 1000 piece puzzles are bigger depending on the size of each piece. I always look to the actual puzzle size to determine if it will fit. I do need to let you know this is VERY well made. It slips under bed or couch, etc.with ease. I actually place a piece of extra foam, quilt batt, or felt for extra cushion and slippage on the trays. Good luck.

The actual board size inside is: 31" wide by 21" tall, and the two inserts are 20 1/2" by 14 1/2" each. I hope this helps.

Q: Is it possible to to prop up the main board at a slight angle and work on the puzzle that way, or will the pieces not stay?

Although my husband didn’t prop it up I feel that the pieces would stay in place, because as per instructions the case can be folded up with puzzle inside and it stays in place.
