So far so good
Able to replace the battery easily. Just ordered a 2nd battery for my other little vacuum. Have had the 1st battery about 3 months and use it for small area rugs. Battery seems goid. Hoping it lasts years like the original battery did

Works well
I bought the XBT1106 for my Shark SV1105. Apparently the SV1105 was not that common, but it turns out to be very similar to the SV1106.It uses a 14.4 volt (8 cell) 3000 milliamp hour (MAH ) battery. The original was an XB1100 battery, which lasted about 3 years. I could not find something that specifically matched XB1100 or the SV1105 model, so I went with one rated with the same voltage and capacity, and I double-checked polarity when it arrived.I accidentally turned he vacuum on before the battery was charge. It ran with a comforting level of power and the lights were bright. I immediately turned it off and charged the battery. Within 12 hours it was ready to go and I vacuumed some problem areas. If any of you has a shedding dog (like an Alaskan husky) then you know what I mean.It worked pretty much like new. I have only had the battery for one day, so when the battery starts to show signs of losing its life, I will post an update. I think if it lasts a year, it will have been worth the money.

Only lasts for 10 minutes after recharge
Nothing close to the manufacturer battery pack. After full charging, I can only vacuum for 10 minutes, and my original gave me a steady 20 minutes. Pretty disappointing -

Worked great until........
Several years ago I bought two refurbished Shark Rotator cordless vacs, both which I used daily on the first and second floor. They worked great until the battery on one failed. I ordered this replacement, checking it out on both vacs to be certain it wasn't the vac itself that was the problem, and to be sure, I installed it in the other vac. It worked perfectly until after only five months, this new replacement failed. The original battery in the other vac is still going strong. Because of my experience, I cannot recommend the purchase of this battery as it has not proven itself reliable.

It just works
OEM batteries directly from the manufacturer are about double the price for this unit. Installed the battery, and charged my vacuum. So far it works. I have not used the vacuum enough to discharge the battery, but per the size, it's supposed to last longer. Only time will tell.
