Knotty Boy Dreadstuff Light Roll-Up Stick 2.25 oz Dreadlock Wax

Had high hopes for this but my soft hair just would not knot no good for me

I got this product because of the reviews. It is convenient which I love, but the smell is just not very great :( I'm sure that some people may like it... but it just smells awful to me :P

The roll up stick is nice because you can apply it without getting wax on your fingers. It works best for frizzies and can tame lose hairs in seconds. It applies the wax fairly lightly which is nice, but not the best if you are trying to get a new dread or tip to stick together.

This is a great way to touch up the ends od my dreads. Certainly easier than using the wax out of the jar.

easy to use....waist length dreads.....wax application 1-3/yr usually around the start of winter and maybe mid summer.

Texture:I had the tub of wax from Knotty Boy and got this because it seemed to advertise it as being quick and easy to push up and quickly 'freshen' up your dreads instead of dipping your fingers into the tub of wax. Well it was not easy at all to use this wax. The wax itself is fine, but it is petty solid stuff and sort of hard to soften it enough to use it in your hair. With the tub of wax your fingers are always working it around and it seems a little easier to soften the wax up, but this tube is constantly being twisted with new wax that has never been touched because it is underneath. I was imagining it being easy to slide through my dreads and that was not the case.Color:I have dishwater blonde hair and the light wax was perfect for that color. I bleached a few of my dreads bleached blonde and the light was also perfect for that color as well.The wax itself is great, just not as easy to work with as I thought.

Easy and Mess free

Bought on reccomendation of a friend i purchased the wax for the very tips of my dreads which are very fluffy.The wax smoothed out the frizz and kept the end nice and tight. Felt a little too heavy to use on roots or the full length of the dread but great for touch ups!I bought the blonde version for my red dreads and it blended in seamlessly, also smells great too!Good purchase
