Color:Blue  |  Size:15.6 fl oz The Martha Stewart Slow Feeder Pet Bowl is designed to be functional and durable. When pets eat and drink very quickly they take in too much air, making their digestive systems work overtime causing bloat and discomfort. The slow feeder bowl has raised ridges and bumpers that are designed to slow your pet's food or water intake. The bowl is made from durable, long-lasting FDA-approved plastic with a handy easy-grab cutout and features a non-slip bottom that provides stability while preventing floor scuffs. It can be used for either food or water and is top-rack dishwasher safe. Available in two sizes and three colors. Pair it with a Martha Stewart Pet Feeding Tray.

OK, but not for my boy.
While I thought this type of bowl would help slow my kitty's habit of gorging, it turns out that he is reactive to the plastic, so, I had to get rid of the bowl. It is also worth noting that the use of this kind of bowl, where the cat had to work harder to get to the food, the mess he made around the bowl as he ate over the course of the day was much worse than previous. Crumbs and pieces much more noticeable. Rubberized footing did make the bowl stable otherwise.

It Works, my cats have slowed their eating
I have two cats, one of which eats far too fast and usually brings it all back up. I had to coax both cats to get used to it, but only once and placed a few pieces of food outside the bowl before they warmed up but it only took five minutes. No more puke!

Effective, but fragile
This is my second one. It's also the second one that's broken in 2 weeks. I have a 5 month old lab, and it really does slow down her eating. It looks nice, it's not too hard to clean. It seems easier for her than the more spiral-looking ones, but effective. The green one (not pictured) fell from the top of the knee-high "vittle vault" and this beige one the puppy knocked off a standard-height counter onto a wood floor. If you're never going to drop it, it's great. I bought two! But now I will look for a slightly different kind. I'm concerned that it's the material and they're all the same way.

big help to slow gulpers
This is my second Martha Steward Slow Feed bowl. Had the first one several years and due to rough treatment, it cracked. Not product's fault. I have a 14 pound terrier that eats his food like a vacuum cleaner. This bowl has slowed him way down. By eating slower he is able to keep his food down. Great product. Bowl would be too small for a large dog unless you add the food in increments during feeding time. To be effective the kibble needs to be below the top of the little "bumps" in the bowl.

Slowed 1 min eating to 10 mins!
3 built in ‘fingers’ is enough to slow my Italian Greyhound from a 1 minute inhale to 10 minutes (Hooray!!). Solid plastic bowl (does not feel cheap). Cream bone color looks great in any decor.Convenient small cutout at the bottom makes it easy to pick up.

Great slow-feeder!
Our dog is constantly "solving" slow-down type of bowls, but since this one has the obstacles on the inside, we can change it up each meal just by turning it. The highest bump is a little tall for her, so sometimes we'll shake the food towards the shorter bump when it gets to the end of her meal.

NOT for cats
These bowls are not made for cats. Cats have small snoots and short tongues. The humps are too high and too close together for them to reach the food. I have two cats and neither could get their food. With dry food, they had to use their paws, scoop out a piece, let it drop to the floor and then eat it. Once in a while, they caught it in their paw. More of a game. Wet food was a bust. They got very frustrated and didn’t eat.

Great bowl for fast eating Lab
My male Lab inhales his food then vomits. Had suggestions of placing large rock in bowl, he removed the rock. Purchased this bowl with doubts. It is working great, he has to slow down to get the kibble. I like that the bowl has non slip on bottom so he cannot dump bowl over. He has not vomited since we started using this bowl. Would recommend!
