Every water storage tank should have one
I can honestly say that I have zero regrets about this purchase. The system is accurate enough for my needs and I can check the water level at a glance from my smartphone or from any computer anywhere in the world. Checks are done every 15 minutes and values are updated online every 30 minutes. If the water level in our 2800-gallon tank drops below 75%, I get an alert. If it drops below 50%, I get another alert. 75% means "keep an eye on it", while 50% means "something is definitely wrong". That second alert gives me plenty of time to investigate the cause of the problem so that we're not trying to troubleshoot an issue with a well pump at the same time that we have absolutely no water. We can conserve as needed, while continuing to have water for critical needs. And since we keep the well pump's top float switch on such a short tether (pump kicks on at 90%), we know without a doubt that 50% is actionable. This device can easily save you money. I purchased the system in February 2022. Had I purchased it prior to 2020, it would have paid for itself by saving me from having to get a $700 water delivery when our storage tank ran dry during the height of COVID business closures. If I had to buy the system again, for whatever reason, I would do it in a heartbeat. Even if I had to buy a new PTLevel every few years, I would probably do it. I mean, you can't live without water, right? In three years of ownership, I have never had to reconfigure this system. The indoor wireless receiver has never forgotten its settings, nor has the outdoor monitor/transmitter ever failed to transmit data, except when the batteries recently got weak. As Steve Jobs was so famous for saying, it just works. With regard to the batteries in the monitor/transmitter, I just changed the batteries in my PTLevel for the first time since the system was installed in February 2022. That's THREE YEARS on the original AA batteries. So, when the Paremtech folks say that these batteries will last for years, they are not kidding. But do yourself a favor: use good batteries that won't leak. Procells, in my experience, always hold up nicely. One more thing: While changing the batteries in the monitor/transmitter, I discovered that the original gasket for the cover had turned into a gooey mess and could not be reused. I contacted Paremtech to ask them where I might be able to find a replacement, since I was not having any luck finding replacements on Amazon or AliExpress. Paremtech went above and beyond by offering to send me a replacement cover with gasket, as well as an additional spare gasket. I did not expect that, but I sure do appreciate it!PTLevel is a great product and Paremtech offers great support. Buy with confidence!

PTLevel is a solid device and innovative technology. This a great solution
Fantastic product ! Excellent !!! Incredibly innovative!! Solid construction !As with all tech, upon installation, there is a learning curve. As another review mentioned, During initial install, Wifi did not immediately connect. I traced my issue and determined that the issue was the way I had configured my home network. I had an original router and then had added a second 'Orbi' router \ satellite to extend a second WiFi signal for wider range. That was the problem. I connected PTLevel receiver to the primary router and instantaneously made the WiFi connection. My 2 2500 gallon tanks are up the side of a mountain about 500 feet from receiver. Transmitter had no problem linking with receiver. Signal is excellent.Upon install the tanks were essentially empty. I had only 6 inches of water in my tanks when I installed it. In the instructions it tells you that you can only calibrate if tanks at 20% full or better however when I dropped the weighted pressure chamber in tank the app registered 7% full. The tanks are 84 inches tall. 6 inches is 7% so out of the box at time of initial installation, the PTLevel reading was accurate.I live on a road where most of my neighbors have a similar set up. The houses are down on the flat space and the water tanks are installed up the side of the mountain for gravity feed. None of my neighbors have monitoring devices in place. We have discussed a DIY solution using 'arduino' tech but that entailed too much diy set up.When I discovered PTLevel I was very encouraged. Now that I have it installed, I never have to climb the trail up to the tanks and I can see exactly how full the tanks are. I am thrilled with the PTLevel systemI am going to do a "PTLevel show and tell" for my neighbors so they can resolve their tank level issues. In summary, I found the PTLevel to be 5 stars in quality of manufacturing, innovative design, packaged instructions, online help and customer support.Well done PTLevel, I now can check my water tank level anytime rather than making a hard climb up the hill to check the tanks every few daysMy knees thank you

Wildly inacurate!
I purchased this product two years and five days ago to remotely monitor the water tank at my second home. It was easy to set up and was accurate...for awhile. Then the readings began to show much less than what was actually in the tank. The plastic tube tube that connects the pressure chamber inside the tank with the monitoring device turned out to be waterlogged. I drained it and remounted it to the device and chamber using sealant per manual instructions, and reset the device. It immediately registered the correct tank level.BUT, after a couple of months, the readings again were way off, and sure enough, the tube was again waterlogged. This has repeatedly happened every 2-4 months ever since. One time it registered 18 % when the tank was full! The problem seems to occur every time we get a deliver of water - i.e. when the water level in the tank raises substantially. Until now I assumed that I was nor properly sealing the connections, but now (after really laying on the sealant the last time) it has become very apparent that the pressure chamber has leaked since I bought the device. Unfortunately, I grasped the problem five days too late to make a warranty claim. Thus I have no recourse after spending $309. Hopefully you can learn from my mistake and locate a dependable alternative.
