This is made in China. The Chinese made chimes are apparently notoriously cheaply made and quite often do not function at all. I found this out too late. I'd bought them as pre christmas gifts...they both could not even be assembled to stand. let \alone to have candles inserted and lit!! I don't think i can get a refund, as I can't figure out which company I bought them from. The Swedish ones are the ones to buy.

Get new chimes, these are garbage and will fall completely apart.
