Works just fine and cleans up easily. I used an empty can inside because the idea of roasting chicken with a can of beer is just a silly gimmick. I used this with an empty can to hold up the chicken on a small foil tray inside my smoker. It worked great.

I used my rack the other day and was happy with the result. Perfectly browned chicken that didn't sacrifice juiciness or tenderness. I have not tried it with a can of beer or any liquid but even without it the end result was wonderful... I never liked soggy bottomed chicken!
