UV LED Black Light - 10W Tube for Bulb Replacement, Blacklight Poster, Art & Parties

I'm very happy with this light. It is very light-weighted and portable, and is also very sturdy and solid, considering its size and shape. I used it for my bedroom decorations, it makes my blacklight posters glow in the dark, it is definitely a very good light for my UV posters and blacklight arts. Here are a few nice things about this blacklight tube: The fact that this light is kind of a wide-angle emitting UV light bulb is advantageous for illuminating ceilings and walls. I like the dual column LED chip design, it produces twice amount the UV power compared to those which are typically of this size. As mentioned, it is well made, solid-looking, especially considering its size. Admittedly 10W is small, it is still a good size for personal use in a bedroom or a room of similar sizes. The built-in switch makes it convenient to adjust the brightness of the light, I prefer the low-brightness mode as it is enough for the small area I wanted to illuminate on the wall. It can also be used without the adaptor, I quickly tried to plug the USB to my laptop and it did work. Overall I highly recommend this light for blacklight posters or UV arts.

Initially I was afraid that this light might be too small, but it turned out just right for me. The key factor to a good glow in the dark effect is not about having excessive black light, it is mostly about getting the right amount of glow decorations which can glow under UV. We enjoyed exploring different variaties of things that could glow under UV. Some of the neon glow star tapes I bought were nice, I also made some DIY decorations using the square shaped "fluorescent papers", these papers came in yellow, green, and pink colors and I cut them into various shapes. To me they are very affordable and most importantly I can cut them into any shapes I wanted.So rather than buying large blacklights, I did the opposite and used as minimum amount of black light as possible. I focused on finding the right neon decorations for the glow effect. I believe this was a better way to implement the blacklight in the dark. I also found it handy that this light fixture has a built in two-way switch which can lower the brightness when needed.

This blacklight is overall decent quality for the price and being LED, it comes with everything you need to mount and power it (more on that in a moment though), and features two brightness settings which is a nice feature over older fluorescent blacklights. As stated in my headline the included USB adapter is poor quality and the one out of the box died in less than 6 hours of blacklight use. I docked it just one star because I had a handful of spare USB adapters, and really at this price point you just won't get a good USB adapter included with anything. I really do like that it is powered by USB, this allows you to connect it to a standard adapter, a computer, a TV, or anything else with USB ports which is nice.

My niece already has lots of various lights in her bedroom, so much so that my brother joked that she has a little "stoner bedroom". That gave me the idea to get her a blacklight and some blacklight tapestries/posters for her birthday. Have only tested this light out a few times, but so far it works great, and it lights up the two tapestries I got for her beautifully! I can't wait to give them all to her, she's going to love it!

The last blacklight I bought was in the 90s. It had a bulb that you have to twist back into place, the casing was bulky, and more recently the plastic casing started to warp, so I felt I had to replace it for safety. We use this as our kid's nightlight to bring his room decor to life. We love that it has a bright feature for charging glow-in-the-dark stuff quickly, but also a dim setting so we don't worry about it getting too warm and causing trouble if we leave it on all night. The other thing I like about this light is that it is very compact. I am most likely to get one for myself to have on my stand with my synthesizer when I perform.

This will light up your items as you remember your old neon black light did. The ONLY problem that I have with this product is that it is very glaring to look at. The old neon black lights had a much softer glow. This one is tough to deal with if you make eye contact with it. I had it hanging over an outside bar and the glare was too much to accept. If you are backlighting something, or have it out of direct eye sight lines, then it's a pretty good product.

You get what you pay for and it definitely works as I wanted to make some Yeezy sneakers with a glow sole really pop.It sucks that it has to be plugged in to be turned on, so make sure you read the description all the way bc it’s not a usb charge that stays on and let’s you walk around with the light wirelessly.If you need it to “activate” some glow in the dark items it works great!It’s also very light weight which is a plus.

Used to illuminate fluorescent minerals. I'd put it on for an hour in the evenings. Failed ridiculously fast. Not worth the effort to return, off to the landfill. Thanks China.
