Who knew a toilet brush could be this exciting?
I got this because it was on special offer. I was a bit unsure, having always used the bristle type, but I can't resist a bargain. However, there was a part of me that wondered, what was I getting myself into? Silicone bristles? Could I cope with something so radically different?Well... I shouldn't have worried. This is an amazing little brush. Firstly, the silicone bristles are actually much tougher than regular bristles, so they clean much better. Secondly... and how do I say this politely?... poop doesn't get into these silicone bristles to the same extent as regular bristles, so it's much easier to just, well, shake it off. Thirdly, it's designed so the brush doesn't sit in liquid once it's put back in its base (you know what I mean). And lastly, it really does get into the narrower bits of the toilet because the head is smaller, which makes it easier to use. To top it all off, the brush looks neat, compact, modern and feels good quality. It's especially good if you have a small bathroom. You can see why I'm just a little bit in love with this thing. Maybe I need to get out more often. Highly recommended.

Better than a brush
4 pieces, the brush itself is 3 pieces: Silicone head, shaft and handle. The silicone head does clean better than bristles. It is also easier to clean and has low particle retention. Everything is easy to rinse under hot soapy water. The pot is ventilated near the bottom so some care is needed to recognise if drips have filled it up to near the vent level (easy to see if you only look. The handle feels robust and resilient but of the 4 we've had (altogether) one snapped and the 'threaded' join looked as if bubbles in the plastic had weakened it at that key point. I have replaced it with the same, as I like this and the value it represents, so much. It has good heft and looks fit to last a decade or more.Excellent value, but don't try and use if too hard!RECOMMENDED

This is brilliant!
Normal loo brushes are such disgusting things that they often don't get used often enough - mostly because the disgusting liquid that collects at the bottom of the container ( seeing that makes me retch). This is brilliant and I only wish I had it years ago - dirty loos really annoy me. Cleans the loo so well and no water has been collecting in the holder. As soon as I first used it, I immediately ordered another for the other bathroom. However, one downside is that the handle comes in two pieces to screw together and I feel that the join is not very hygienic as it's where your hand holds the handle. I wish the handle was one one piece, but I can live with it as the brush has dramatically improved what is usually an unpleasant job.

Perfect Design
The design of the toilet brush and holder is made of plastic, there is no chrome to the design so no rust unlike other makes where some parts of the brush have chrome parts which easy rust. The silicone brush is ideal and perfect in cleaning the toilet pan. If you are thinking of replacing your toilet brush and holder try this purchase and you will be amazed how hygienic the Skroad Toilet brush with the silicone bristles is. I am glad that I purchased this product and will never return to the old style of toilet brush.

I'm only ever buying these
Weird thing to write a review on but after buying this a few months ago i thought i would. I hate toilet brushes and using them as we all probably do. However, if you ever need to and want the process to be as minimal as possible then buy this brush. We don't really have to use it often but I did get some limescale bombs for the pan and used this to aid the cleaning. Its easy to assemble, easy to hold and the best bit it doesn't have a lid or any nonsense so its in, out shake and drop back in to its little pot.

Easy clean toilet brush!
I hate toilet brushes, they make me sick but they are a necessity and I really did my research before I bought this! This is really good. It works fine but, more importantly, it's so easy to clean and I am reassured it is actually clean before I put it in it's holder. Most water can be shaken off it before putting it in the holder. It's more or less dry before it goes in. I give it and the holder a little spray with detol. It keeps perfectly clean.

Hygienic, but needs a bit more effort to use
First thing, it comes in three sections. I screwed them together firmly but only hand tight. I have arthritis in my hands so I do not have some sort of amazing grip strength. So far after several weeks' use, nothing has unscrewed as observed by some other reviewers.I very much like that the brush itself seems cleaner and more hygienic than a standard bristle based toilet brush. However, I do find I need to put significantly more effort into to using this brush and it does not clean as efficiently or thoroughly as a regular brush. Maybe if the bristles were a little thinner, no more than 50% thinner and double the number of bristles, it would clean more thoroughly in a single pass. (but obviously the thinner and more numerous the bristles are made, it comes closer and closer to a standard brush) .

Yes, buy it, save the planet.
I have replaced my Air BnB bog brush with one of these and I am very happy. With a traditional brush the metal that holds the bristles in starts to rust after a month and it does not look clean even if you bleach. Guest don't like that. They don't think it is rust.....Also, I believe, as a planet, we can't afford to keep buying and throwing stuff away - especially plastic.I will buy one for my own house when the one I have now dies.
