I bought these to build a recurve bow stand. I 3D printed parts, then cut these to length, and assembled. These are way stronger and sturdier than wooden dow rods. I have tried two different bows on the unit, and these rods hold like a champ, and are incredibly light weight.One word of caution, because these are not solid, it is possible to put too much pressure on them when holding down to a table with a clamp. I accidentally squished/cracked one end, and had to cut off about a small section as scrap because of it.

Product exactly as described - happy.It was expected sooner than arrived, but, only a little late (and, as it turned out, I was busy when it was supposed to arrive), so it all worked out fine. 3 days after original expected date.

This was purchased knowing that it would probably not be exactly straight. It is only out by 2mm in 1 meter so that is close enough for most hobbies. However, if you expected exactly 8mm outside diameter, be prepared for a possible deviation from this. Mine measures 7.89mm pretty much all the way down.Inside reads 5.49mm on both ends, I cannot get to the middle with my instrument.Would I buy it again? YES. I would just take the different sizes into consideration in the designs.
