Battery operated wonder!
Love it works great. Bought it to clean a 1/2 acre roof and it pushed dirt like a gas power broom. Just not as wide a path, doesn't push large piles of dirt . Saved me a lot of work.

Not for the average homeowner but pretty good
Let me say that this attachment is not for the home-owner and has a very limited scope-of-use. It is not for the home-owner in part of the difficulty in assembly. It requires some disassembly upon arrival; the internal rod kept sliding out either end; in my first attempt, the red arrow on the rod itself misled me and resulted in the broom rotating in the wrong direction; but attaching the rod to the broom was the real nightmare with the internal sleeve continuously maligning; and the screw-nut for the cover kept popping out. The instruction manual hits on all the crucial points; but the pictures are not clear and too zoomed-in in some steps. Took me an hour after several attempts to get it right. After 5 min of use, I already lost two pairs of brissels. The rest seem to be holding up. Lastly, the unit is tall and bulky for most people's garages in full assembly. With that said, I have a large parking lot, where there has been dirt build-up on top of the asphalt for some time; a strong blower could not clean the asphalt. So, this broom did a pretty effective job dislodging it and from the pits and racks in the asphalt. I also get constant dirt/sand build-up with gravel from the highway road encroaching my entrance. (There apparently are no city-sweepers that care about us.) This attachment did a good job cleaning that in a short amount of time. Very messy though. As far as maintenance, there is a lubrication port similar to the hedger attachment. The manual provides a Makita part no. for their grease. For their hedger at least, Makita told me that the following grease available here is the one that they rebrand: SHELL GADUS S2 V220.

Beast
This thing is a beast. It moves large gravel and roadbed like it isn't even there. Gotta put some muscle behind it tho as it has quite a bit of power and grip with just its own weight holding the brush down. Might actually better to install upside down for smaller users even if it will kick stuff towards you, it won't overwhelm you strengthwise.

Heavy and not worth it.
It would be cheaper to hire someone to sweep for you. This thing is a monster in size and weight. You seriously need all your back strength to lift it. Not worth the money or energy. Great idea but not even usable.

Un mat your matted artificial turf
You’ll find out real quick you want this pulling away from you than pushing towards you on your turf fluffing. Trust me. Flip it to pull away from you. Wear your eye gear, and that’s how you’ll git-er-done

POWER BROOM
I'm using this attachment with the Makita Power Head that uses one battery. The combined units work well but is difficult to use. You need a lot of strength to push the broom and its awkward to hold using the standard handle attached to the Power Head. The overall balance is off. I'm going to need extra time at the gym to build up some muscles for this one!!

Good but pricey power sweeper
I bought this to remove dirt from the driveway which is getting washed down from under nearby trees. It is heavy and makes the power head unbalanced when carrying, but once set down it only required moderate forward force (average size male here) to counteract the moving brush.Amazon delivery was good. It came in the manufacturer's box, but that provided adequate cushion, if not much camouflage. For fairly thick loose dirt (up to 1") it works surprisingly well, leaving the driveway below completely clean. If the dirt got wet and is stuck, it requires holding thw brush in place to let it work, and in some stubborn cases I still have to break that dirt loose with other means. But it still beats a pushbroom. I use it with an XGT 40V power head.My only real gripe is the price. It is pretty rugged, but let's face it: it is predomonantly molded plastic that you are paying close to $400 for. The chainsaw attachment I also have was less expensive, yet has more metal plus an oiler. I also wonder if I can get replacement bristles, or whether I will be forking out $200 or so for the entire brush barrel when the time comes.
