STANLEY Hex Key Set, Long Arm, SAE & MM, 22-Piece (85-753)

Best set I've used, I have several other brand names and these seem to be the best quality for the cost.I keep one set in the truck, one downstairs and have another low quality set I left at the office. These are strong, work precisely.The holster fits securely and the Allen keys stay inside when placed there and do not fall out. These hex keys are almost commercial shop quality. They are strong and the chamfered edge is perfect.The black oxide finish doesn't seem to be the most durable, but it's fine for home use.The keys come with an oil coating so there should not be any potential rust at all. You can remove the oil easily enough with a quick wipe of alcohol.The holders/organizers are the best I have seen on these type of sets. They are beefy and rugged enough to hold up for years. They hold the keys tightly, they keys won't budge or rattle at all. Each key slot is marked with the size in large clear lettering.Pros:-------------------+ Strong keys+ Perfect edge chamfer on the tips+ Holders/organizers are durable, don't rattle and are clearly marked+ Price on this set is excellent, good value for your moneyCons / Considerations:-------------------- Black oxide finish is not the best- Keys come with oil coating, easily wiped off with alcohol (not a con, just be aware)

Excellent set contains virtually every size you could need. They are hex keys so I can't gush too much about them. They are solid and don't flex with normal use. The caddies work well, are clearly marked, and it is easy to get the wrenches out. I prefer sets like these to the T-handle sets or the folding key sets as these are the most versatile and fit almost anywhere.An allen wrench set is mandatory for a well stocked toolbox, and these are good tools at a great price.

I was happily pleased to find these! I have the folding hex sets from a different manufacturer but with short arms. I had found the same set for sale at a major Home and Garden store for $30.00! More than pleased to be able to get Stanley quality in two very complete sets with long arms for the low price these sold for! I have a variety of tools that need long arms, and some articles that need larger sizes to kepp things tight. These two sets are perfect for all my needs. The hex keys are housed in a strong plastic body to keep them all together and makes it easy to remove for use and replace so they don't get lost. End your problems with loose hex keys, not knowing for sure they are the right size, and not having the exact one you need. This set will solve those issues!

I'm great at loosing Allan wrenches, primarily because the case's they are held in are loose and they don't stay where you put them. This set has worked great at keeping them where they should be and have held up great on moderate torque situations. I could not find fault with this set.

These sets work well and are exactly what I expected. These do not have a ball end, but that is not what I wanted anyway. The price of these is great and was very similar to prices on Black Friday 2013. I have not ran in to a situation where I did not have a wrench that fit. The key is to make sure that you put them back in the set immediately after using them so you never lose them.The reason I only gave these four stars is because on the black set (standard set), the wrenches were stuck in the rubber holder. When I pulled them out there was something orange on the wrench where it was in contact with the rubber. I am not sure what this substance is, just something weird and orange. They all work fine, just some of them were difficult to remove from the holder.I would certainly recommend these.

I use these hex keys a couple of times each month for all manner of household fixes from changing the belt on a vacuum cleaner to installing towel rods to adjusting the seat on a bicycle. This set is excellent because the inclusion of both metric and SAE keys has always allowed me to have the right size key available for any project. In my experience, the materials used for fabrication provide for lateral flexibility along the long shaft, but maintain enough strength to prevent rounding-over the ends when significant torque is applied.At this price-point, I could not find a better-made set of 22 keys that would offer the same quality/durability. Certainly a well-made T-Handle set of hex keys would outperform this set in most applications, but for the same number of keys, that would require at least double the investment and more storage space.

This is a great value. I was looking for some allen wrenches to use to adjust things on my new bike, but the single ones that I THOUGHT would fit my bike were like 3-4 bucks. With this set, I have all the allen wrenches I could need for around the house, plus I guarantee I'll always have the right one for my bike.I used it to adjust my seat and install a couple of water bottle holders, and they felt really solid. Love the long arm for leverage, and they withheld a lot of pressure. Why buy just one when you can get 22 pieces and never not have an allen wrench again? Especially at this price, it's unreal.
