Replacement Part: 005T5 Dell Inspiron 15R (N5110) Laptop / Notebook Base Bottom Cover Assembly Case

This is a OEM Dell lower laptop cover in like new condition.

If you have a Dell n5110 laptop, it's WHEN, not if, your right side screen hinge will break. After looking for a used replacement on eBay, I searched Amazon and was surprised they offered a brand new bottom case with the speakers included! Plenty of disassembly videos on YouTube which helped tremendously. This case fit everything perfectly. I recommend it highly!

The housing for the monitor anchoring screws gave up the ghost, and I was worried I'd have to give up my N5110. Fortunately, I was able to disassemble (thank you, YouTube!) and reassemble my laptop and I was up and running as soon as I let my battery gather up a full charge.

Once the problem was determined with the bottom of shell/panel screen hinge housing for the monitor anchoring screws points had shattered. This seems to be a common issue with the right side of the shell/panel screen hinge assembly on these particular Dell models. The replacement bottom shell/panel fits similar to OEM and case arrived well protected in it's own box however, the bottom shell/panel DID NOT come with speakers. This seems to be a hit or miss if your bottom shell/panel will come with speakers or not. The price is on the high side as you can purchase the same exact item on ebay for less with free shipping. However, the logic behind purchasing it, the Amazon prime 2 day delivery guarantee which was nice bonus as I needed it by Sunday so I could have my laptop for work on Monday.

Everything was as it should be - it shipped and was delivered right on schedule, and was the correct part.Update Nov. 2019: No complaints on this product. I've replaced the bottom base on my laptop twice. The replacement part lasted three years longer than the original.

Once I determined that my problem lay in this bottom panel and not the hinge mechanism itself, all went well. Of course, repair *did* require disassembling 95% of the laptop, so the mfg manual and online videos were essential aids. Thanks to Julie at Mobile Parts Proz.

The case arrived well protected when promised. I had to completely disassemble the laptop to install it but it worked as expected and the wife has her laptop back in operation. The case is the weak spot in this laptop and the hinges are too tight. I loosened the tension slightly to prevent the hinges from pulling out of the case again.
