Great edge retention, easily sharpened, sturdy piece. I and my wife have stopped using any other knife since the time we have bought chef mate.

Need to sharp every week, on vegetables cutting use
Sharpen knife getting blunt after every week .It can cut coconut shell but holder are not comfortable it's feel sharp edge hurt finger.Need to sharp every week after vegetables , fruit cutting use. I'm vegetarian but have idea for meat cutting too. And it's is fast rusty iron steel . Can't keep even a single day without use or clean

Metal is pure iron which leads to rusting , otherwise very good
Very sharp , it can cut through hard materials also . but the metal used is pure iron which gets rust in a week only . You can see it in my image attached .The handle is good , grip is fine , and sharpness is the best part about it .I am giving only 3 star just for the reason it is prone to rusting . I mean its very common of having little cuts while using a knife in kitchen , and this issue is very concerning regarding this

Timely delivery, but poor packing
Speedy delivery and product is also very good, but the package is very poor condition, since it was knife - sharp things ,better packing expected. For that giving only 4 stars.
