This scale works great for that.

I've used a few different scales and settled on this one a few years ago (about 2016). We replaced it recently because we wore our previous one out! The buttons started sticking, but I'm pretty sure that was due to us pushing them too hard (daughter). Otherwise it lasted well. The clear platform is so useful when visualizing the number screen. I like that the platform is raised about the buttons and not on the same level like some other scales are. Having the platform raised keeps it convenient when you're pressing the tare button or watching the numbers on the scale.

I had a WW scale that I used for years and years. When it died, I bought this one. I wanted a large bed on the scale that would hold a bowl or a plate. I wanted to be able to see the numbers when I used the plate or bowl. I wanted it to be sized just right, not to big, not to small. I wanted it it look nice on my counter, because I use it everyday. I wanted it simple to use, all it had to do was weigh food with the push of a button. This does all I wanted it to. It’s perfect.

Wonderful product and at a great price. BUT I could not read the small size of the digital oz gm kg. I used my Dymo labeler and placed the black letters onto the scale. Now I can read what is undersized on the screen. My photo is enlarged and made contrasty so manufacturers read-out looks better on my photo, than what you are going to see on their screen.. I initially checked the weight accuracy with my gram scale weights and it was accurate except when it got below two grams the scale didn't read anything was on it. It was fine for weighing the oils and butters for soap, but when weighing the essential oils it would show 0.00 oz until I took the container off of the scale and then it would show the negative number so I was able to see -0.05 oz of essential oil.Conclusion: I'll have to buy a scale that can weight things that are lighter than 2 grams.

My husband loves this scale!! He uses it to divide meat for packaging and storing. It has a ton of other uses as well for measuring. The ease of use is fairly easy but there is a slight learning curve in understanding the measurements. The digital display and glass platform make this little gadget appear to be a professional item. I leave it on the kitchen counter and it adds an aesthetically pleasing dimension to my counter-top. Friends and family tend to comment on this item and seem to want one also. Clean-up is a breeze as the glass just wipes clean with a cloth and it does not appear to leave smudges This is a great gift item for certain people who are in to measuring. You can't go wrong with this one for personal use or as a gift.

I have found this scale to be accurate to within a gram or two, weighing items as light as 10 g, or as heavy as over 1000 g. I always use grams as the unit, so I cannot comment on the ounce accuracy. I have used it on a daily basis a few times a day, for five weeks now, and it has proven to be accurate and repeatable. I have no problems with it. It is a great scale for the price.

Absolute favorite kitchen scale. Our last one had an accident and got crushed by a RV slide wall and quit working.this scale is so easy to use and switch from grams to ounces, tare, everything works like it should. We are so happy with this i hope its always available as i wouldn't consider any other scale at this point. We purposely sought this one out from our old model number on the broken one its that good.
