Wow, impressed thus far!
This is a process! I have curly hair down to the start of my bum, so I needed quite a bit of product. I used the 240ml, not all, but a lot. In hindsight I would have started earlier in the day. I started around 6pm by washing my hair with the clarifying shampoo that they sell. It definitely did a deep clean of my hair. Then, I started with the keratin treatment. I thought to myself how bad could it be smell-wise, especially donning a mask, gloves and having the open window? Well!!! This stuff smells like pure chemicals! I am the last person to complain about the smell of a product, but again, wow, what people said was correct! I had to go outside to finish applying the treatment. My eyes and throat were getting irritated indoors. Nevertheless, I applied it in small sections using a comb to help evenly distribute it. Toward the end I became lazy and used bigger sections, still making sure I used my hand to thoroughly coat my strands. I used my hands not a brush. My scalp felt fine throughout the process, no irritation. So, after I coated it I waited 30-minutes. Then, blow dried. I had to stand in the doorway to my backyard to finish it; breathe fresh air. The fumes are intense. It was hard to blow dry without any other product to help detangle and tame it. Once I completed the blow dry, I flat ironed which wasn’t as bad fume-wise with a flat iron set to 440-445. Flat ironing always takes me a long time, but this time it took FOREVER with all the passes, I did about 6 passes with the flat iron using the chase method with a fine tooth comb. I finished around 1AM (with some breaks to drink water and breath fresh hair outside.)How did my hair look and feel? Well, it felt a tad sticky which eventually went away and it looked a tad puffier than I expected. Possibly. Puffy isn't the right word; it looked like I had ay excellent blow-dry. It was straight but not bone straight as I typically can achieve when I straighten my hair sans-keratin. I love Mazani products and my GHD which only reaches a perfect 365. I used the Revlon straightener when I flat ironed my keratin treated hair (the instructions said to use high heat up to 450 degrees). With that said, my keratin treated hair did look healthy, less fallout, no visible damage, and it had more body). I slept on a silk pillow case the next 3.5 days. I left it hanging straight the entire time. It remained straight the full 3.5 days. I quickly ran through it with my GHD Original every day until I washed it out. Honestly, it looked great. Each day it seemed to look better. When I washed it out after the 3.5 days with a sulfate free shampoo/conditioner, I LOVED how my curls looked. I always had a looser S-like 3c curl, but this product helped to tame it and keep the looser curl formation that I typically have straight out of the shower. Usually, it a big long puff-ball when it drys, but not this time!!! It stayed tamed, s-curly, and like a beautiful beach mermaid. I wish I would have found this product sooner, id’e wear my curly hair all the time because it would be SO MUCH easier to style. Which was nothing other than the keratin treatment. I am going to finish the process and straighten it. I literally stopped to write this review because I loved how my curls turned out. I hope I like how it looks straight too….Note: I have never done any type of treatment with my hair or even dyed it. I do flat iron my hair about a handful times a year with excellent results. My hair does not revert until wash day or I get it wet. I have about 3c, curls-thickish, low porosity, frizz prone, puffy at times hair.

Life changing
I have extremely thick, wavy, coarse hair that’s about 4 inches past my shoulders. The entire process took me 3.5 hours. It wasn’t fun and I can definitely understand why salons charge what they do. I started indoors with my bathroom window open and a fan blowing. I wore an N95 mask and could barely smell anything. However, when my eyes began to water, I moved to my back porch. I continued to keep a small fan pointed on me outside (mainly bc it was 85 degrees and I was wearing an N95 mask) and it surprisingly wasn’t bad at all. I used 2/3 of the larger bottle, which I’m pretty sure was double the amount I actually needed. I had to purchase a new conair straightener from Walgreens at the last minute bc I realized that my Chi didn’t get hot enough. You’re supposed to do 10 passes on each section, but at 450 degrees, my hair became so hot after 2-3 swipes that I couldn’t touch it without burning the tips of my fingers. I am going to buy some of those heat protector gloves for next time. The initial results were startling. My hair was stick straight with zero body and felt like it had a film on it. I ended up going over my entire head again with my straightener and that made my hair feel a lot softer and less filmy. It was impressive, but too straight. I waited the full 3 days before washing it and by the end of day 2, my hair looked greasy and clumpy and I was beginning to think I’d made a huge mistake. After washing it on the 3rd day though, it looked absolutely amazing. I let it air dry almost completely and then used my hair dryer at the roots for a little lift. It definitely emphasized split ends. A week later, I got it cut and colored and now I am literally obsessed with my hair. It feels so incredibly soft and looks shiny and healthy. And best of all, it requires zero styling. It feels like I have someone else’s hair. The difference is truly remarkable. It’s been exactly one month since I did the treatment and my hair still looks great. I went swimming at a water park and just spent 4 days swimming in a lake and the treatment survived. I’m having to wash my hair every 2-3 days (I used to be able to go 4-5 days in between washes) and I’ve also had to switch to a lighter leave in conditioner bc my old stuff is too heavy for my hair now. I’m going to the beach at the end of July and expect to have to redo it after that bc supposedly salt water takes the treatment out. Even if that’s the case though, it will have lasted 2 months and was worth it. I’m sure it will last much longer when I’m not exposing it to chorine, saltwater, and sun. I very highly recommend this product!!!!
