We regularly change our team's cleats based on game field conditions. It is important to clean the bottom of the shoe with a stiff-bristled brush (an old toothbrush works graet). There are little fins on the bottom of the shoe where the replacement cleat locks in, and the dirt and mud, if it's not removed, could cause a player to lose a cleat. Even on new shoes, one should check the cleats for tightness, as players tend to just pull their new cleats out of the box and go play. Be aware that the steel stud is actually what threads into the cleat. Don't overtighten them, or you'll end up recessing the stud into the cleat. Snug is plenty. If you play on a hard field, you can't beat the durability of the steel-tipped cleat, although I use poly-tipped on my quarterback, and select running backs, receivers, and pulling guards... I just change their cleats more often.

so low quality. metal part is not working with black plastic part. You screw the plastic part but bolt is loose!!!

My son was going thru 14 cleat tips a week, from running on and off the concrete! These are lasting much longer... we may have to replace 3 after four weeks!

overall i like them,they're not the best quality but for the price i paid at under 3$ a set well worth it

These so-called "metal tipped" cleats were nothing more than plastic cleats with what amounted to a thumb tack pressed into the end. Half the cleats would not tighten in the shoe because they were not one solid piece. Do not waste your time or money (even if they are cheap) on these. You will not even get what you paid for out of them.
