This is a great product and incredibly easy to install. Takes only a minute or two to install. It also worked not just on our Coleman, but on our Rubbermaid ice chest as well. Perfect replacement to extend the life of your ice chests!

I used this to add a new drain plug to my Coleman Party Stacker 24 beneath one of the moulded handles.I made a ‘Franken-Cooler’ for sous vide cooking and wanted to add a means to remove the water in a more controlled manner.The wall of the party stacker is insulated and is just under an inch thick.I had two Coleman options - 1” & 1.5” shaft lengths.The 1” shaft Coleman drain plug would only just be visible in the hole especially with the rubber gasket added. More important though is that it is not threaded to the tip. I’m not sure if the ends would connect within the hole and also if there would be enough drain available to close the plugI therefore chose this 1.5” shaft version and it fits great. It sticks out an acceptable amount for me.I drilled a 3/4” hole with a spade bit and needed to whittle it until it could accommodate the width added to the shaft by the gasket.

I bought this because the stopper broke off on my Extreme cooler. It is the correct fit and mentally easily to install, but the threads are extremely tight. It’s an awkward position that you have to use pliers or some tool to screw it in. I have a stronger than average grip and I could barely screw it down. I might get the after market next time. I even unscrewed it to confirm I didn’t cross thread. Nope. Just super tight.
