How many slices of bread are in a pack?

This is rugbrød, a Danish sourdough rye bread and is traditionally used to make a huge variety of open faced sandwiches...smørrebrød, almost daily for lunch. That being the case, it doesn't really matter if there are an even or odd number of slices per pack. So, Mr Buck Futter (what a cute, childish name by the way...I'd probably snicker and giggle about it too if a were 12 years old and back in middle school), how about you research the products you review and actually know what you're talking about. By the way, I'm really proud of all you're doing. I wish I had enough extra time and money in my life to just order a bunch of random stuff online and express my uneducated, ill informed opinion. You must have made a bunch of great choices in your life to get where you are right now. Keep up the hard work. You're making such a huge difference in people's lives. Where would we all be without you?

Is this product gluten-free?

This has “wheat protein” as one of the ingredients, which is most likely gluten. Ingredients: water, whole rye flour, protein-mix (11%) (wheat protein, pea protein), soy flour (5%), almonds (5%), sunflower seeds (4%), wheat bran, soy meal (3%), golden linseed, oat fibre, salt, whey powder, yeast, rye flour, acidity regulator: sodium diacetate.

Is there wheat in this product?

Package says wheat-free. Ingredients are: whole kernel rye, water, whole meal rye flour, salt, oat fiber, malt extract, yeast.This Amazon site is the best price around, but you have to buy 12 loaves. They have a long shelf life, I keep opened package in frig, and freeze the rest after I receive them. I have had some in the freezer for 2 years without problems. This bread is good for you, my husband loves it.

How many slices are in one package?

there are 7 slices measuring 7" x 3 and 3/4" totaling 16.7 oz. Bread is very dense and seems heavier than average bread. Compare it to your favorite bread by counting slices and weight. I often cut one slice in half to make a small sandwich. It is especially good toasted. May be frozen but lasts for months unopened in cool cupboard or refrigerator. I always refrigerate after opening.
